Window Cleaners: Mandurah Residents Urged to Hire a Pro

Window cleaning is a home maintenance chore that should be done about twice a year, but it’s not a very pleasant one or even a very safe one. When considering whether they want to run the risk of being their own window cleaners, Mandurah citizens are advised to put their physical safety ahead of saving a few dollars. For the average home-owner, the top of a slippery, soap-covered ladder is simply not a secure place to be.

Window Cleaning is Risky Business

Even trained professionals can suffer shocking accidents while cleaning windows. Consider the case of Pedro Perez of San Francisco, California, who fell eleven stories onto a moving car in 2014. Mr. Perez miraculously survived, but he suffered brain trauma, internal injuries, and a fractured pelvis. After a hospital stay, he was released to a rehabilitation facility, though whether he would ever regain the ability to walk was unclear. It was devastating to Mr. Perez’ family when he lost the ability to work, but due to the publicity the accident generated, a crowd-funding effort provided them with some cash to live on. It’s extremely doubtful that a home-owner who suffered a serious accident cleaning his own windows would be the recipient of so much public sympathy, though. So ask yourself: if you fall and injure yourself while cleaning windows, what will your family do if you are unable to work? If you are now convinced it’s best to hire window cleaners, Mandurah does have excellent companies available.

Even Professionals Require Safety Training

Mr. Perez’ case is not unique. In another incident, Chris Piper of Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada) fell at least seven stories while cleaning the windows of an apartment building, eventually crashing through an atrium window to land on the floor of the lobby. After the incident, a former co-worker of Mr. Piper’s stated to the press his opinion that even professional window washers sometimes need more stringent safety training. The point here is that window washing is not a job the average home-owner should attempt alone. Saving your neck is more important than saving a few bucks, so hire a company whose workers are trained and insured.

Professionals Do A Better Job Anyway!

Safety concerns, however, are not the only reason to hire professional window cleaners. Mandurah residents who desire sparkling clean windows should be aware that the average home owner simply does not know how to do the job properly. For example, one tactic often used by home owners is to employ wadded-up newspaper, blue spray, and lots of effort. However, this is a poor technique that does little more than move dirt around and add a static charge to the windows, which tends to attract dirt and dust all over again. Professional window cleaners, on the other hand, come equipped not only with their superior expertise, but with the proper tools to do the job, including tall ladders, poles, and squeegees. For safety plus value, your best bet is to call competent professional window cleaners.
