The world is witnessing an unprecedented explosion and phenomenal changes in the media and communication technology. All the boundaries have been transcended, the overall globe community has been brought together a unified whole. Gone are the days when a sweet and short reporting could display the message across. Not only the world of communication has changed due to the technology but has also focused on the targeted audiences. The predictions for the industry are doing quite well and really on the top in the market. With the enhancements in the number of TV sets, News Channels, advertising, radio stations and much more are growing on regular basis. The field seems to be transcending into the unmatched growth due to which the candidates perusing their career would seek higher growth.
Mass communication is not limited to journalism alone. To the great extent mass media is the modern reality which covers the aspects of life of human beings. Moreover, a great change could be observed with the concept of people working for the mass media. Difference between journalism and mass communication
Although there are lot many people confuse between journalism and mass communication, but as the name suggests mass communication focuses on disseminating information to the masses at the local level, international and national levels with or without the necessary intent. Whereas on the other hand journalism is more focused information which is providing emphasis on the facts and figures. In Mass communication, you can be creative and bring your imagination into picture.
There is no crystal clear distinguishing between the two but in case of journalism there is reporting which is done for news reporting for the news for newspapers, televisions or magazines. In case of mass communication it is on the broader side which focuses on encompassing graphics, radio, television, films, online media, events, documentary, corporate communications and so on.Eligibility criteria for the mass communication
With respect to every college the criteria could vary but the common criteria which is kept under consideration are –Undergraduate courses (where you should have completed class 12th from any board) and Post graduate courses (candidate to be below 30 yrs of age and should have completed the bachelors degree.
