There is an increase in the number of people who are suffering from Alzheimer’s. It is increasing day by day, it is important to find a way to stop this deadly disease.
The prevalence of the disease is expected to rise. Many people have started looking for different kinds of solutions to this problem. There are many different ways to help seniors to stop the decline in their cognitive abilities. The effectiveness of many of these techniques usually tends to vary from individual to individual. However, across the board, these techniques are recognized as being more effective for helping people with Alzheimer’s.
Prevention is oftentimes, better than a cure. It is necessary for family members tounderstand how and why this disease originates, so that they can stop it in its tracks.
Many of the symptoms that accompany memory diseases come about as a result of a lack of mental stimulation. Stress, anxiety and depression are all prominent causes of memory loss. All of these can occur when there lacking opportunities for the seniors.

Motor skills will decline when the senior is suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.Physically activity can help to stem the spread of the disease. A full gym regimen is not necessary; a 10 minute daily walking program will help. Once the seniors become more active, they will be able to partake in more strenuous programs. The more active a senior is, the better.
Perception is another cognitive skill that a lot of people with Alzheimer’s disease begin to lose. This skill can always be improved if a senior learns a new language or a musical instrument. Both of these will also help to improve the attention span of the seniors.
If the seniors start torecognize the musical notes, the new alphabets and the grammatical structures their perceptional and attention skills may start to get better. Both perception and attention play an important role in the process of neurogenesis. Neurogenesis is the generation of new neurons. This can help seniors when they are battling Alzheimer’s disease.
One of the best ways you can combine both the physical and mental approach for memory care is through assisted living homes that also have Alzheimer’s care facilities. There are also many Alzheimer’s care facilities that have support communities for the family members, as well.
