1999 was the year the Krauskopf family immigrated from the high peaks of the great Mt. Shasta in California to the lowlands of Lake Arenal in Costa Rica. To earn a living and eat three square meals a day, the Krauskopf family started selling sausages from the back of a food truck, which was a relatively new concept then.

The sausages became very well-known and well liked and hence the Krauskopf family started selling sausages seriously and took to building a chain of their sausage food trucks. The restaurant now known as the Caballo Negro originated here. It was the sausage selling business that began everything of not here and everything changed for the Krauskopf family.

Costa Rica being the tourist attraction that it is attracted plenty of customers for the Caballo Negro and the Krauskopf family decided to enhance their business strategies and better the quality of service they were providing. Hence is the most common terms, they became professional at what they were doing and tried their best to provide a service to society too.

This is how Lucky Bug originated. Lucky Bug is a few miles away from the famous Lake Arenal and here the tourists stop for a breather from traveling and this is why the Lucky Bug has sustained and grown rapidly. The position and location of its base is perfect for tourist stop and travel scheme.

Lucky Bug Art Gallery:

To help stray dogs and other stray animals and provide a form of community service, the Krauskopf family decided to start an art gallery and help the Costa Rican society ad artists gain some popularity. Hence the Krauskopf family made the art gallery to sell the art pieces of the famous Costa Rican painters and artists who are not established and cannot afford a living. This led to the Lucky Bug art gallery becoming a popular destination for the tourists of Costa Rica and gain access to the kind of art not found in the rest of the country.

The Lucky Bug Art Gallery donates most of its proceedings to the local painters and helps them make a living out of it.

There are several multinational companies in the jurisdiction of Costa Rica who invest immense amount of money to help build hotels and make profits from the investments that they make. It includes walks in the rainforest in which the Lucky Bug resort has a trail and can lead to many flora and fauna activities and sights.

The resort has five rooms which overlook the rainforest which is in the backyard. The guests can also access the private lake that belongs to the Lucky Bug resort and keep their fishing skills and canoes skills in shape.

Caballo Negro:

The Caballo Negro is a very famous restaurant in this vicinity and trail. The best dishes are the ones served with organic vegetable.
