Because of a change in the law, some in the security guard field may not understand the new SIA licensing. However, since its implementation, some may be confused who needs SIA security course training. However, doormen, nightclub bouncers, CCTV operators, and security guards all benefit from having SIA security course training.

Having FPOS training and being able to assess security risks after having taken security and risk management training is also one way a security guard can stay better equipped to handle emergencies and help people who need first aid assistance. If you have taken a SIA security course, it may open the door to a job promotion. Being good at what you do and gaining skills through security and risk management courses and also being FPOS certified can help you get a job promotion.

Having more experience may be a plus with employer who expect their doormen, security guards and also bouncers to be able to think fast while on the job and correctly assess a situation.
