2015 Honda Accord Sedan

The Honda Accord Sedan is a four-door, five-seat midsize sedan that has been celebrated for excellent fuel-efficiency, tight handling and a history of reliability. The Accord has also been praised for its spacious interior and a healthy array of standard features.

Honda offers the Accord Sedan in six trim levels: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, EX-L V-6 and Touring. The first four trim levels are powered by a 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder Earth Dreams engine that makes 185 horsepower and 181 lb.-ft. of torque. For the Sport trim, the engine is tuned up so it puts out 189 horsepower and 182 lb.-ft. of torque. The LX, Sport, and EX models come with a standard 6-speed manual transmission. A Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) is available as an option, but is the standard offering on the EX-L. When the CVT is added to the Sport, paddle shifters are also included. Front-wheel drive is standard on all trims. Fuel economy estimates with the manual transmission are 27 mpg combined/24 mpg city/34 mpg highway. With the CVT, the estimates are 31/27/36.

EX-L V-6 and Touring models come with a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that makes 278 horsepower and 252 lb.-ft. of torque. The only transmission available is a six-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is also standard. Fuel economy estimates with the V-6 engine are 26/21/34.

When it comes to safety, all Honda Accord Sedans are outfitted with front airbags, front side airbags, side curtain airbags, child seat anchors, Vehicle Stability Assist with traction control, anti-lock brakes, electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist, a rearview camera and daytime running lights.

LX and Sport models come with standard features like a security system, automatic headlights with halogen projector beams, dual-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth connectivity with an SMS text message function, cruise control, and a 160-watt sound system with AM/FM radio and CD player.

Among the equipment that comes on the EX, EX-L, EX-L V-6 and Touring models is a power moonroof, keyless entry and ignition, heated side mirrors and Honda LaneWatch, which constantly monitors other vehicles in the car's blindspots. The EX-L, EX-L V-6 and Touring trims add a Forward Collision Warning system, Lane Departure Warning and LED brake lights for improved accident prevention. Leather upholstery, heated front seats and a 360-watt sound system are also included for greater occupant comfort. A satellite navigation system can be added to the EX-L and EX-L V-6 but comes standard on the Touring trim.

Connectivity for the Accord Sedan is provided by HondaLink, which lets you to connect with online content. HondaLink features Aha compatibility, to allow you to access your music, social media and other information from a compatible smartphone. Content is provided through you dashboard, so there's no need to fiddle around with your phone. You can create personalized radio stations featuring music, Internet radio and news shows. You can even access restaurant reviews and get recommendations right from your car, or locate the nearest coffee shop. In addition, you can hear updates and news feeds from your Facebook and Twitter accounts, so you can stay connected in your car. Since the content lives in the cloud, you'll never need new hardware or software.
