EWN Media Group Spain's leading news sale house, stands for bespoke premium content and news.

WHEN you talk to Steven and Michel Euesden you realise that the Euro Weekly News (EWN) is the centre of their world.

The EWN Media Group has grown because of the dedication and hard work of the husband and wife team

They have grown the EWN Media Group into the biggest free English language media group in Europe by sheer hard work. That would not have been possible without a great team around them, including Operations Manager Niki Burgess, they are quick to point out.

But equally they wouldn't have achieved what they have without the passion and dedication they both brought, and continue to do so, to the Euro Weekly News.

For them owning the Euro Weekly News Media Group (EWN) is not just about business, it is something that they deeply care about. That is something which is reflected in not just the way they go about business, but by their determination to make sure the EWN is placed at the heart of the community.

Underpinning that is a strong sense of community values which they learned at a young age, Michel in Lancashire and Steven In Kent. That strong sense of community values is at the core of the EWN, no other English newspaper group in Spain gets so close to the expat population.

Some have made the attempt but no one can quite manage it.Michel said: "That set of values is something we bring to the whole EWN Media Group. We try to think of our staff as part of the Euro Weekly News family."But it goes a long way beyond the staff, that feeling of being part of the expat community extends to the readers too.

Michel added: "While we support some of the Costas' biggest charitable events, it is important to us that the EWN Media group helps individuals as well. In Spain it can be very difficult for people who are less fortunate than us.

"When we have a hard day at the office and think the World is against us, it is humbling to think of those at the heart of our community who have real problems, for many it really is a matter of life and death. That puts things into perspective.

Our problems are not real problems at all."It is a commitment like that which puts the Euesdens - and the EWN Media Group - at the heart of the community.
