We bring a list of the top 10 cars for the first six months of 2015. The list is predominated by Maruti, Hyundai, and Honda.

The Indian auto market in the first six months of the year 2015 was predominated by Maruti, Hyundai, and Honda.

We take a look at the top 10 cars, based on their sales figures and customer satisfaction index.

Alto: This car has been a crowd puller since it was introduced. The highlight was its advanced features and low price tag. The 998 cc petrol engine produces 68 PS of power and 90 NM of peak torque.

Swift: The Swift VDi is a 5-seater hatchback with a ground clearance of 170 mm and wheelbase of 2430 mm. The 1248 cc DDis Diesel, CRDI engine produces 74 bhp power at 4000 RPM and max torque of 190 Nm at 2000 RPM.

Dzire: This coupe was introduced in the year 2008 and there has been no looking back for it since then. Grand i10: This car features between the i10 and the i20. It is a diesel hatchback that comes with an all-new 1.1-litre diesel mill mustering 70bhp power and 160 Nm peak torque.

City: The fourth generation of the Honda City was unveiled in November 2013. The coupe came with advanced interiors and exteriors, as well as a powerful 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine.

Eon: This is an entry-level car that has been designed to suit the temperament of the budget-conscious Indian. It is placed below the Hyundai i10 and Santro. This car was introduced to give competition to the Alto.

Amaze: This is a diesel sedan from the house of Honda. This car was brought into the market to compete with the Maruti Swift Dzire. It is the sedan version of Brio.

Ciaz: The last spot is again taken by Maruti. The Ciaz was unveiled at the 2014 Auto Expo. It was brought in the C-segment sedan market to replace the SX4. It is equipped with a 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel and the 1.4-litre K-Series petrol engine.
