Tablets are a popular choice for those who want a more powerful performance than a smartphone but without the hefty weight of a laptop. Half way into the year and we’ve already seen a multitude of great tablets in the market. Here’s a list of some of the Latest Tabs for 2015 so far.

Nokia N1

After selling its Lumia brand to Microsoft, most of us assumed the Finnish phone giant was dead and buried, but Nokia has since shifted its focus to rolling out an impressive new Android powered tablet. The Nokia N1 features a trendy and slim design, similar to the iPad.

The tab has a 7.9" IPS LCD display and is supported by a 64-bit 2.3 GHz Intel Atom CPU, Android OS v5.0 Lollipop, 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage; which is great, except there’s no expansion slot. The N1 sports the new Nokia Android Z Launcher which streamlines the home screen with a grid that shows you the apps you are most likely to use depending on previous activity, and is also one of the first tablets to use the USB Type-C socket. The innovative reversible USB port is set to replace all types of USB connections in the future.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S

The Tab S is a brilliant alternative to rival even the best tabs in the market. The Samsung tablet features a Super AMOLED display with a crisp and vividly colourful screen, perfect for watching movies or browsing through images. The 2.3 GHz Quad Core Processor and Android OS v4.4.2 (KitKat) combined with Samsung’s innovative technology offers a smooth user interface experience, that’s packed into a slim and lightweight design.

The Tab S also features a fingerprint scanner for unlocking your device, a great way to avoid smudges from constant swiping, as well as making online payments. The Samsung Tab S is available in both 8.4" and 10.5" screen sizes.

iPad Air 2

The iPad Air 2 features an anodized aluminium chassis which is 18 percent thinner than the original but feels just as sturdy, and the same 2048 x 1536-pixel glass covered LCD display with an additional reflective coating to reduce glare. The thin frame packs a powerful 64-bit A8X chip which promises to be 40% faster than the A7 chip, and 16GB of internal storage, without the ability to expand.

The twin speakers on the iPad Air 2's bottom edge provide good audio quality despite the tablet's slim frame. The iPad Air 2 is another great device by Apple, and if you can afford the price tag, it’s worth the investment.

Dell Venue 7

Compact and versatile, this is perfect for those in the market for a smaller but powerful tablet. The Dell Venue 7 features a slim 7.0" IPS HD display and an upgraded Intel Atom 1.6 GHz dual core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory and supports Android OS v4.2 (upgradable to Kit Kat). The tab also includes good speakers with a sufficient amount of bass.

The Dell Venue 7 provides a solid performance and strong battery life, making it an excellent option for budget shoppers who want an Android tab.

Lenovo Tab 2 A8 and A10

Named for their respective screen sizes, the new A8 and A10 are an example of Lenovo’s continuous development of reliable tablets and tablet pc. The Lenovo Tab 2 tabs feature a MediaTek 64-bit quad core processor (1.3 GHz for A8 and 1.5 GHz for A10) combined with 1GB RAM, 8 to 16GB internal storage and the ability to expand up to 32GB of extra space thanks to the microSD card slot. There's an optional SIM-card slot on each tab so you can make and take calls and use 4G LTE, making these tabs cum large phablets.

Tabs to look forward to!

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2

Samsung will most likely release new tablets in 2015. The Tab S is more than impressive, and the Korean giant is sure to update the model. Since the original had a 32-bit processor, chances are the processor will be upgraded in the next tab.

Microsoft Surface Pro 4

The Surface Pro 3 was and still remains a hugely popular tab. With Windows 10 due to be released soon, it’s expected that Microsoft will launch a newer improved surface pro 4 this year to push the new OS.

iPad Air 3

The iPad Air 3 will inevitably be launched by the end of the year, but so far, other than a likely increase in speed, there’s been no word from Apple about what we should expect from the new tab.
