Jackson - Dover Wedding

Emilia Shea Dover of Chatsworth and Cleveland Norton Jackson of Cave Spring were married Saturday, June 20, at the Old Baptist Church in Rolater Park in Cave Spring.
The bride is the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Crafton Cecil Dover of Chatsworth. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. John Willard Davis of Chatsworth, the late John Willard Davis, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Burrell Cecil Dover.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Frederick Jackson Jr. of Cave Spring. He is the grandson of Horace L. Cline of Cave Spring, Mrs. Charles Frederick Jackson Sr. of Cave Spring, the Mrs. Horace L. Cline and the late Charles Frederick Jackson Sr.
The bride’s father performed the double-ring ceremony and exchange of vows. Arrangements of eskimo white, pale peach and blush pink roses, cream white stock flowers, white hydrangea, peach hypericum berries, white veronica, white stargazer lilies, Italian ruscus, peach, pale blush and white spray roses, Queen Anne’s Lace and spring rye greenery adorned the altar. Single eskimo white roses were placed in the vestibule in memory of the bride and groom’s late grandparents. Bouquets of pale peach and eskimo white roses and greenery marked family seating.

A program of wedding music was provided by pianist James Willis of Rome. Selections included "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing," "Shenandoah," "Tara’s Theme," "Canon in D," and "Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee."
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. Erin Dover Satterfield of Cartersville, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Hannah Marie Helton of Dublin; Sarah Bolton Holmes of Carnesville; Sarah Elizabeth Loughridge of Chatsworth; Anna Glynn McIntyre of Ball Ground; Anna Catherine Moses of Alpharetta, and Valerie Tess Noles of Nevils.
Serving as flower girls were nieces of the groom, Margaret Elisabeth Jackson, Christa Louise Jackson, Abigail Kathleen Jackson, Elizabeth Claire Jackson, and Ella Katherine Jackson, all of Rome; and niece of the bride, Hannah Kristina Satterfield, of Cartersville.
Christopher Ross Jackson of Rome, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included the groom’s father; Dr. Charles Frederick Jackson III of Rome, brother of the groom; Dr. Cline Thomas Jackson of Rome, brother of the groom; Evan Chase Dover of Chatsworth, brother of the bride; Justin Brice Baker of Lindale; and Thaddeus Vincent Jolly of Rome.
Nephews of the groom, Charles Frederick Jackson IV, William Cline Jackson, and Cline Thomas Jackson, Jr., all of Rome, served as ring bearers.
The bride chose a strapless gown of ivory satin with lace overlay and scalloped sweetheart neckline. The dress was adorned with a satin ribbon belt featuring handcrafted flowers which accented the natural waist and finished with a chapel length train. She wore Mrs. Nick Satterfield’s veil of silk tulle illusion and a strand of pearls, a wedding gift from the groom. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of eskimo white, pale peach and blush pink roses, white hydrangea, peach hypericum berries, white veronica, white stargazer lilies, Queen Anne’s Lace, and Italian ruscus, tied with burlap and accented with the bride’s late grandmother’s peach cameo brooch.
Bridal attendants wore knee length strapless gowns of pale peach with chiffon overlay featuring a sweetheart bodice. They carried bouquets of eskimo white, pale peach and blush pink roses, white hydrangeas with peach hypericum berry and white veronica accents.
The flower girls entered the historic church carrying tin pails adorned with lace ribbon filled with pale peach and eskimo white rose petals. They wore tea length peach dresses.
A knee-length dress of coral lace was chosen by the mother of the bride. The mother of the groom wore a tea length floral organza dress in shades of peach, ivory and green. The mothers were presented with corsages of white and pale peach roses, peach hypericum berries, and Italian ruscus.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the historic Hearn Academy in Rolater Park. Refreshments included the couple’s four-tiered white wedding cake and featured vanilla filling and vanilla buttercream frosting with slices of fresh Georgia peaches encircling the bottom layer.
Pre-nuptial parties included an "I Do" barbecue engagement party and shower held at the Rome History Museum, co-hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Howard Alexander, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Byington, Mr. and Mrs. Ken Fisher, Dr. and Mrs. P.J. McElhone, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Safigan, and Dr. and Mrs. Tommy Simpson. A low country boil engagement party was held in Athens and hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Ray Moses, Ms. Anna Moses, Ms. Anna McIntyre, Ms. Valerie Noles, and Mr. and Mrs. Heath Whiddon.
A bridal shower in Chatsworth was hosted by Mrs. Tommy Baggett, Mrs. David Loughridge, Mrs. Steve Loughridge, Ms. Sarah Loughridge, and Mrs. Nick Satterfield. Ladies of the Cave Spring Baptist Church hosted a church-wide luncheon followed by a his and hers "Honey-Do List" shower. Bridesmaids enjoyed a beach retreat on Tybee Island. Groomsmen relaxed with a day of golf and sporting clays hosted by best man Christopher Ross Jackson.
Wedding weekend festivities began with a bridesmaids’ luncheon held at the Coosa Country Club and hosted by Mrs. Cline Jackson, Dr. Bethany Jackson, and Mrs. Chris Jackson.
The groom’s parents hosted the rehearsal dinner with a low country boil on the evening prior to the wedding.
After a wedding trip to Costa Rica, the couple will reside in Cave Spring.
