High-quality Wristwatches that offer style, precision

Since 1865, Zenith Watches has designed and produced high-quality wristwatches that offer style, precision, and reliability. Founded by Swiss watchmaker Georges Favre-Jacot, Zenith was among the first watchmakers to integrate all stages of manufacturing into one building, streamlining the process as well as allowing for better quality control. This represented a shift from the historic practice of dividing the different parts of productions between different artisans, a business model that did not suit Favre-Jacot's aspiration to produce the finest watch action available. This ambition did not take long to pay off; soon, Favre-Jacot was working with other famed artisans like architect Alphonse Laverrière. Favre-Jacot's work fell naturally in line with the principles of the German Werkbund movement, of which Laverrière was a part, in which European industrial designers sought to exemplify their master craftsmanship through artistic expression in their designs.

Far from resting on a historic pedigree, Zenith Watches have continued to evolve aesthetically and mechanically. A notable benchmark came in 1969 when Zenith introduced El Primero, the world's first automatic chronograph. More recently, Zenith created the Academy Christophe Colomb, a gyroscopic wristwatch that captured the "Best Complicated Watch Prize" on its debut at the 2011 Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix. Notable owners of Zenith watches include Louis Blériot, the first man to crass the English Channel by air; Mahatma Gandhi, the Indian civil rights leader notorious for his punctuality; and Felix Baumgartner, who took hi El Primero Stratos Flyback Striking 10th chronograph with him on his record-breaking jump from the edge of Earth's atmosphere in 2012. (This particular model withstood speeds above the sound barrier, descending from 128,100 feet without losing even a microsecond.) Along this journey through time, Zenith has been home to many behind-the-scenes icons in the world of watchmaking who have continued to push the frontier of watch design and construction. While notable for these celebrity connections, Zenith watches can be found today on discerning wrists throughout the world -- whether headed for a night on the town or a more rugged adventure, these watches embody form, function, and legacy.

Dejaun Jewelers carry a variety of precision luxury watches, including the historic Academy and El Primero lines from Zenith, including the award-winning Cristophe Colomb and Felix Baumgartner tribute Stratos Flyback for those with a taste for the historical moment, as well as a number of limited editions wristwatches. While these variations on classic manufacture are driven by the same ultra-precise mechanisms for which the brand is known, these watches are available in a wide range of bands, faces, inlays, and other stylistic variations that is sure to meet the needs and tastes of any owner. Also available are the Pilot, Captain, and Star wristwatches; the Pilot and Captain lines are sleek, modern watches whereas the Star line offers contemporary looks made especially for women, featuring jewel inlays along the edge of the watch face. All of these lineages equally marry the luxury and accuracy that is the century-old trademark of Zenith Watches, itself a bright star in the long history of fine Swiss watchmaking.
