Upcoming Toyota car models in India - Autoportal.com reveals the new launches

Toyota Rush might launch a new SUV, named Rush, by the end of this year. Toyota Rush is a commanding and robust sports utility vehicle with overall reduced dimensions. It may come as a 5 seater or a 7 seater. Going by Toyota vehicles of the past, the Rush is also expected to have a significant boot size and ample internal storage spaces.A spacious cabin in an attractive colour scheme is expected to live up the interiors.The new SUV will come with a 3SZ VE four cylinder 1495 cc engine and a a 1.5 litre Petrol engine and a 1.4 litre D-4D turbocharged unit for the diesel variant.The engine is mated to a five speed manual transmission and a four speed automatic with a well designed grate shifter mechanism.Toyota has priced the Rush in the range of Rs 8 to 11 lakhs.
Toyota Hiace is another expected launch. It is not just an MPV, but almost a van which can carry more than 10 people in one go. The vehicle was already showcased at the 2014 Indian auto Expo and is now expected to be officially launched by the end of this year. A 2982cc, Euro 4 Toyota D4-D diesel engine will power the vehicle and it should come mated to a 4 speed automatic gear box. Estimated to fall in the higher price range of Rs 25 -30 lakhs, the Hiace will be blessed by an exhaustive features list.
Another compact sedan - Toyota Vios might also make it to India in the coming year. The 2015 Toyota Vios will be positioned in C2 segment and will fill the gap between Etios and Corolla. It looks much similar to the Corolla and has almost similar features. It will be offered in the 1.5 litre petrol engine as well as the 1.4 litre diesel engine. The petrol motor will be mated to a five speed manual or seven speed CVT box and a six speed manual will do for the diesel. It is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 8 lakhs to Rs 12 lakhs.
