Although it may be a lot of work, but the love that you receive from them in return is really worth it.

Narrowing down to dog owners, it is not easy to leave your dog alone, or on their own as this can give rise to mental and physiological issues. Caring for your dog goes beyond taking care of what they eat and exercising them regularly. Just like humans, they also tend to have health issues, and can fall sick, or be the victim of an illness. Don’t worry because this is pretty normal.

Some of the illnesses that can affect your dog are:

  • Diabetes
  • Heart/blood pressure/ respiratory
  • Arthritis
  • Anxiety/ behavior change, and more.

Each symptom needs to be identified by the owner and the right medical approach should be implemented so that these pets can be treated correctly.

Of the common medications used, Novox is a drug that is used for dogs identified with osteoarthritis. The recommended does is 2mg/lb which is approximately 4.4mg/kg of the body weight, on a daily basis to control the inflammatory sensation. These drugs although are well suitable for dogs, but in some cases they may result in adverse effects and allergies.

For safety, you need to consult with the veterinarian before you are administering your pet with such medicine. It is equally important that the pet owner reads and understand the instruction stated on the cover of the medication. Being approved by the FDA, the usage has rapidly increased in the United States.

When it comes to your pet’s health, you cannot make rash decisions and roll the dice. If you are unsure of the treatment then it is always better to head out to the vet and get the right medication that administering something that elevates their discomfort. Rather than making matters worse, you should try and get help as fast as possible so that the stressful time reduces for you and your loyal pet.

You can also do some research on your own to determine the effectiveness of your medicine, and study the effects and side effects that your pet can face. If you are unable to locate the medication in a physical store, you will find that there are websites dedicated to medications for cats and dogs, where you can learn about the dose, and its effectiveness.

Again, if you dog has prior health conditions, then it is recommended that they be administered the right kind of medicine. Discuss with your vet the health and current problem of your dog, so that you can ensure that normalcy is restored in your pet’s life.

Do your bit to ensure that your friend stays fit and healthy, and you are sure to earn their trust and loyalty.

Arthritis - for this reason you should not over feed your dog until it reaches maturity age ( 7-8 months). If a puppy is too fat and heavy, this will affect its back legs and they will bend down. (ex. the German Sheppard).
