2. Comparison and contrast of Linux on Power to Linux on x86

3. Differentiating AIX Editions that includes its features and functions and the ability of upgrading Editions.

4. Describing functions of AIX and its contribution to system reliability and availability

5. Positioning the Linux related to AIX that includes cost differences of hardware and applications

6. Explanation of AIX release strategy that includes Service Packs (SP) and Technology Levels (TL).

7. Description of available solutions at high level for Linux HPC and AIX customers.

8. Identifying appropriate IBM Systems, Storage solutions related to AIX and Linux customers (for example, SAN, NAS, and appropriate products such as Storewide V7000, XIV, SVC, etc).

9. Comparing POWER5, POWER6 and Blade Server capabilities to current POWER7 and POWER7+ servers to determine the correct upgrade/migration path (including migrations to Pure Flex) relative to AIX and Linux environments.

2. AIX, Linux & Power Systems Software stack (24%)

Exam Information:
