If you are considering a Subaru Outback 2015, Mandurah drivers may wonder whether it is worth paying the extra for the 2.5i Premium variant. However, with this model of Subaru Outback for sale, Western Australia residents may be surprised at just what extra features you can get. The Subaru Outback is the crossover wagon for the Japanese auto brand. This latest generation model features an elegant interior, keen pricing and is packed with features, so here is your guide to explore this model.

The Fifth Generation Outback:

The Subaru Outback has a great history on the Australian market. However, with the SUV segment seeing rapidly increasing demand and massive competition, in recent years the Outback has suffered from waning sales. Fortunately, Subaru has taken note of this and ensured that this latest generation model is even more attractive to potential buyers. In the face of demand for larger SUVs, the fifth generation model has an all new larger body. This is 25 millimetres taller, 25 millimetres longer and 20 millimetres wider than the outgoing model. While the Outback still uses the Subaru Liberty underpinnings and mechanicals, it has a unique body cladding and sits higher to create a more rugged look. Since the Liberty is no longer offered in a wagon variant, this means that the Outback will be pulling double duty as the wagon option and SUV crossover for the brand.

Variants Available:

With the new Subaru Outback 2015, Mandurah drivers may be surprised at the range of variants available. There is a choice of a four cylinder turbo diesel or petrol four cylinder and six cylinder engines. All petrol options are paired with an automatic transmission but there is a manual option available with the turbo diesel.

Gear and Gadgets:

The most popular engine option is the 2.5 litre petrol, which has pricing starting at $35,990 plus dealer and on the road costs. For this price tag, you will find the model is packed with gear and gadgets. This includes automatic dual zone air conditioning, auto headlights, rain sensing wipers, 18 inch alloys and a 6.2 inch touchscreen. There is also a ton of safety features including the Subaru EyeSight system, which uses two cameras to offer active safety protection such as lane departure warning and rear end crash avoidance with auto braking. There is also seven airbags including side protection, side curtains, frontal and driver’s knee airbags.

The Premium variant also features an electric sunroof, heated front seats, powered tailgate, satellite navigation and smart key entry. The touchscreen is also upgraded to a 7 inch, which is plenty of gear for the upgraded price tag of $41,490.
