Dish network has become widely prominent all over the world nowadays. It was in March 4, 1996 that the dish network began its early operations as an Echo star, its parent company. The company began using Dish Network as a consumer brand in 1996 after the successful launch of Echo star I. The headquarters of Dish is in Meridian, Colorado with an approximate amount of 19,000 employees. According to the latest estimate as of August 2015, it has been found that the company provided services to about 13.93 million television and 595,000 broadband subscribers.

The company located in Meridian provides services like TV installation, Satellite television, Commercial services, System Upgrades, Digital Television, Programming Packages, Free basic installation, High Speed Internet, Satellite Entertainment, Commercial and Residential services, so on and so forth. They offer products like Televisions, Satellite Dishes, Home Theatre Systems, Cable, HD Receivers, etc.

The main service of Dish Network Meridian is to provide satellite television. It is similar to other cable service provider companies. Anybody around the world can choose to subscribe for dish network services. The people would have to pay more if they want to view more channels, hence more channel means more money to be paid. The services of Dish Network started with ‘Teligator’ which is a portable satellite antenna. It is a standalone device being supported by Wally receiver. Other innovation that came up in providing the dish network is ‘Hopper’. DVR or say Dish Hopper is a digital video recorder that started offering services in March 2012. It is the feature that allows the customers to record all prime time programs on the four major television networks. This has come up with 2 TB of space which can record 500 hours of high-definition television or 2000 hours of standard definition television programs. In this, the feature called ‘Autohop’ allows the customers to view these programs without commercial advertisements subject to time restrictions. In the year 2013 Dish Network won an award for the feature of Autohop in Consumer Electronic Show. In this show itself, Dish announced their feature called ‘Hopper with Sling’, an updated version of the Hopper feature. Hopper with Sling has come up with the sling box place shifting technology that allows the customers to watch live TV and DVR recordings online or through a free Dish anywhere mobile app and also the ability to fling content from the mobile to the TV as well. At the Consumer Electronics Show, Dish Network announced that they would drop off Network and go solely with the name ‘Dish’ along with the newly created logo for which they conducted many marketing strategies. However, its parent company will remain Dish Network.
