Delhi has a high rise in population with every passing year. With the rising population and immigrants coming to the city in hope for work, there is a parallel need of smart residential and commercial properties for people. According to the DDA land pooling policy, 40K acres of land is anticipated to be taken for development of the Delhi NCR regions. The main city has developed into a smart city. The idea now is to make the surrounding areas smart enough to match up with international standard of residential properties.

Plans formulated by the Delhi Government

The L, M, N, O, P, and L Zone of Delhi has a large area of land that can be tapped for luxury yet affordable living housing complexes. The DDA Land Pooling policy aims at making around 25 lakh housing units in the L Zone at Dwarka itself. 1.5 million Home solutions will solve all home needs of the rising population. The basic criteria to turn any place to a smart zone are to make great infrastructure choice for people.

What are the features of a smart zone?

The most important feature of a smart zone is of course the infrastructural growth. However, along with the development of properties, good connectivity by public transport also plays an important role. The international standards of security are quite essential for any place to be considered as a smart zone. Another crucial aspect involves congestion and pollution free environment for living. The Government of Delhi plans to make all these facilities available to the masses at affordable rates. The private properties work for profit but the government aims at smart and luxury living for the people.

Luxury living that matches international standards

The upcoming projects at the L Zone Dwarka are not only highly technologically oriented, they are also aiming at providing luxury living standards to the common people. The housing complexes will have luxury facilities like swimming pools, spas, badminton courts, gymnasiums etc for everyday luxury living. These amenities are to ensure that the residents enjoy a high standard living at such affordable prices. A few complexes will also have a football ground for the young taken to play and learn the sport along with recreational activities. The government is also looking at establishing a strong connectivity for safe travel to other parts of the city.

Government plans a strategic approach to smart living

The Government has planned a systematic and strategic plan to slowly develop every surrounding area of Delhi. The plan is to aim at one place at a time to be able to completely develop the place and tag it as a ‘smart zone’. The current projects are aimed at the L Zone Dwarka as it has great opportunities to turn to a smart choice for residential properties. The Dwarka smart city plan also aims to look at the other zones after the L zone is looked after. The following years will soon see the Delhi smart city plan fall into place.
