Liposuction (Liposuction) Surgery
Liposuction consists of a combination of the words lipo (fat) and suction (suction) as a word. As a general definition, it is the process of absorbing fats accumulated in certain parts of the body by vacuum with the help of special devices. Among society, oil removal is also known as oil impregnation.
In Liposuction, the goal is never to lose weight or lose weight. The goal is to get the body contour, that is, the line, to become smoother by taking the accumulated fat in certain parts of the body.
Liposuction can be applied to any area with excess fat on the body. These areas can be summarized as belly, hip, thigh, waist, arm, ankle, knee inner areas, under the chin. The number of fat cells in the body does not increase after puberty, and when we gain weight, they only grow in size. When Liposuction is performed, we reduce the number and size of fat cells in that area with the suction process. When a person gains weight again after the operation, the body is generally put on weight. The places where Liposuction is performed are affected as much as their share, but because the number of cells decreases, there is not as much accumulation as before.
The main condition for Liposuction surgery is that the person is healthy. If there is a condition that disrupts the general health condition, liposuction and similar aesthetic operations are delayed or not performed at all. For this reason, if you have an existing health problem, be sure to share it with your doctor. In addition, liposuction surgery is not recommended for many aesthetic operations under the age of 18, where the body size is not fixed.
Liposuction surgery can usually be performed with general anesthesia, or in more restricted areas with local anesthesia and semi-dormancy, which we call sedation. Drawing is done in the areas to be applied immediately before the operation. As with any surgery, liposuction has a number of risks. These can be counted as early and late stage complications. In the early period, coplications such as bleeding, infection, swelling in the area of surgery, allergic reaction may be seen, while in the late period, there may be irregularities in the area of surgery. The duration of the operation lasts according to the amount of area to be applied. It can take between 30 min and 4 hours to give a roughly time. The amount of oil that can be taken is also limited. In order to be safe, the amount of fat taken should not exceed 6% of the person's current weight. For example, taking more than 4 pounds in a 70-pound person can lead to impaired blood balance in a person. After surgery, it is recommended to use a corset that puts pressure on the person for 4 weeks without discomfort. You can shower 3 days after the operation and perform your daily chores. After a week, light sports can be started.
