Slayer Training Guide of Old School Runescape
Monsters lurk in every corner of Gielinor. Unfortunately, not all monsters will succumb to your attacks, especially if you don't have enough Slayer XP. As your skills improve and more money becomes available, you'll find yourself in no rush to buy OSRS gold to satisfy your needs; you'll simply have to take more adventures and the gold will roll in.
This is a noteworthy guide to help you train your Slayer skills with a view to hopefully collecting and selling OSRS gold along the way.
What is a Slayer?
First, let's get to the real definition of slaying. A Slayer is essentially a skill necessary for a player to kill monsters that would not otherwise be attacked by you.
Finding a Master Slayer
First things first. Head to the Killer Master. After finding a monster, you will be assigned a specific monster to kill. You will notice that Slayer Monsters will give you tough tasks, such as killing a dozen cows at the beginning. You must learn to crawl before you can learn to walk. After completing a task, you can return to Slayer Master to receive the appropriate reward. As you progress and you begin to improve this skill, you will quickly graduate to larger, more threatening monsters.
Learn about the different types of Slayer Masters
As of now, there are 8 Slayer Masters in OSRS, and naturally, you will unlock more advanced Masters as you progress. Now, you may be asking yourself why bother with the advanced Slayer Masters, simply because they give you better missions. The better the tasks you perform, the more OSRS gold medals you will receive.
Turael - Perhaps the easiest Slayer Master "please", Turael gives the easiest tasks. There is no minimum level required for his quests, which makes him ideal for lower level players. Look for him in Burthorpe, where he will be in a small boathouse south of the general store.
Krystilia - As with Turael, you do not need to be in combat or a slayer level to undertake Krystila's quest. But there is a catch! You must complete the tasks she assigns to you in the Wilderness! You can find her in Edgeville's prison.
Spria - Turael's daughter will provide you with almost the same tasks as her father. The only thing is that she won't reward you with Slayer XP, so what's the point? However, you will find her playing a more important role in the "Pig of Interest" quest.
Mazchna - Perhaps the second easiest Slayer Master, Mazchna will require you to have at least 20 combat levels. He is located in the northeastern part of Canifis.
Vannaka - Vannake has a minimum combat level requirement of 40 and is therefore considered an intermediate level Slayer Master. You can find him in the Edgeville dungeon, east of the Wilderness Gate.
Chaeldar - Another Intermediate Slayer Master, Chaeldar requires her to complete the quests to be completed in the Lost City. Look for her in the Fairy Queen's Throne in Zanaris.
Kunar quo Maten - Now things will start to heat up as she is the third strongest Slayer Master (75 combat level required). She is also one of the main Slayer Masters and she will be assigned multiple locations for her missions. She can be located at the top of Mount Karum.
Nieve / Steve - As the second strongest Slayer Master, Steve will require you to have at least 85 combat power to be assigned a mission. You can find her in the Tree Gnome Fortress.
Duradel - Now, become the most powerful Slayer Master. To perform Duradel's mission, you will need a Slayer level of 50 and a combat level of at least 100. You will also need to complete the Shilo Village quest before you can talk to him, as you will not be able to access the Shilo Village (where he is located) before doing so.
Taking one step at a time
It's natural for OSRS beginners to hear about Slayer but have absolutely no idea what it means. By now, you have learned enough about the value of this skill. To say that training your killer skills in OSRS is an understatement. Because, in fact, honing is a pretty essential skill. After all, Gielinor is full of monsters, and it's suicide to not spend enough money in the slaughterer department. We hope we have been able to steer you in the right direction with this guide. With just a little time, a little patience and a little determination, you can improve your Slaughterer skills and roam Gielinor without worrying. Good luck!
