The theme of the Infiorata Flower Festival is different every time depending on important events that have happened in the past or during the present year. The focus may be on a famous chef d’oeuvre (french - a masterpiece), some specific shape, religion or the work of a specific artist. Once created, the carpet is opened to the public for 2 days. Everyone can experience the magical feeling that this Festival offers and keeps the beauty in his mind, because after these 2 days the local children are allowed to run and smash the piece of art.

4. The Rose Parade

The history of The Rose Parade is long, the first celebration was on January 1, 1890. Since then it has become one of the most remarkable festivals all around the world. Each year flower-covered floats parade on the streets under the sound of marching bands and accompanied by a horse manifestation. In a typical American style there is also a beauty queen contest and a college football game. I think it’s a great way to feel the American spirit and be part of that old tradition.

This festival is a celebration dedicated to the coming Spring season and the local communities compete with each other to make the most impressive and extravagant float which is judged at the end of it. Almost the whole part of the float is made of flowers. There can be more than 80 000 flowers on every platform. For 2 days the whole town is full of music, colours and fireworks. Dancers, singers and musicians create incredible emotions all around Ventimiglia and every little street is full of people, portraying a scene of positive vibes.

Chiang Mai Flower Festival takes place on the first weekend of February because the exhibited at public areas flowers are exceptionally beautiful at this time of the year. Long a whole week, this fiesta is full of events, little contest with different themes and a parade of "los silleteros". They are the stars of the show - flower vendors who are carrying their production in the gorgeous mountains in Medellin, then sell them in markets or in the town squares.
