Wasaga Beach attracts thousands of young adults every year. Being the longest freshwater beach in the world, it has lots of options for water sports and beach adventures. However, unlike most beaches in the world that are inclined towards youthful activities, Wasaga Beach has plenty on offer for families and kids .

Family holidays are often taxing on parents and boring for children. Wasaga beach is a welcome departure from this trend. There are a number of activities that seem tailor made for families with kids. Children of all ages, from waddling toddlers to brooding teenagers will love their time at these attractions:

  • Mini-Golf: In addition to the larger regular golf courses, this pirate themed mini golf course is a big draw for families. Stepping through the gates transports you to a world of South Sea Islands and pirate ships. The imaginative installations and artwork add to the ambiance. Whether you visit during the day or the night, each experience is unique.
  • Paintball: The paintball arena provides an interesting mix of indoor and outdoor areas for children and youngsters. The hospitality reminiscent of five-star resorts is an oft-remarked feature. The hosts maintain a clean and safe environment where children can enjoy themselves fully. A full complement of safety gear like masks and equipment like paintball guns is provided on the spot. There are even referees to ensure any competition between visitors is fair.
  • Go-Kart: This one is not strictly for the kids. As long as you are young at heart, you can put the pedal to the metal and have some fun in this well-designed circuit. The course presents different kinds of challenges for drivers with varying levels of experience. Everyone from a ten-year-old to an experienced go-kart racer will find something interesting about the track layout.
  • RC Racing: Wasaga Beach is home to a unique indoor RC racing track that also does duty as a store for RC parts and accessories. RC rentals are available for visitors who drop in for an afternoon of fun. There is also space for hosting a birthday party. Kids can drive the RC cars for fun, and serious hobbyists can race each other.
  • Caves Adventure: While not technically in Wasaga beach, these caves are located fairly nearby Collingwood, less than a half hour’s trip from Wasaga Beach. This trip is more suited to older children and teenagers as the tour through mountainous terrain requires some physical effort. It is a popular draw all year, and each season brings its beauty to the area.
  • Beach Activities: There is no dearth of activities for children right on the beach. There are frequent and regular events for kite flying, sand castle building, food festivals, car and bike rallies, and more.

The family-friendly visage of Wasaga Beach is apparent right from the moment you arrive and check in. Family cottages are a preferred choice for most visitors with kids. The properties are spacious, and even young children can run around safely. The cottages also have barbecue grills for a picnic on the property should you so desire. Wasaga Beach is an incredible destination for families, filled with fun activities and things to do for everyone.
