Makkah is one of the Holiest place and very sacred for Muslim in the world. Makkah is the city located in the Hejaz Region of Saudi Arabia. The city is located at the distance of 70 km inland from Jeddah in a narrow valley at a height of 277 meters above the sea level and extends to 340 kilometers south of Madinah. The population of Makkah is more than 2 million and every year the same or increased number of Muslims from all over the world come to perform Hajj in Makkah.Makkah has many luxury hotels, shopping destinations, and more to explore in its surrounding area.

The list of the surrounding places in Makkah are as follows:

Jabal al-Nour

The first place on the list of the neighbouring places is Jabal al-Nour. It is a very famous place as it is the place where Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) received his first revelation from the angel Gabriel. It is also called as the Mountain of Light or Hill of Illumination. The height of the mountain is 640 meter which is not much high but due to the rough surface time can be consumed to reach the top of the mountain.

The mountain is also having a cave named as Cave of Hira. It is also very important spot because Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) use to spend a lot of time at this place in meditating.

Makkah Mall

The second neighbouring place in Makkah is the Makkah Mall which is a good place specially dedicated the shopping. It is a lavish shopping mall having multiple shopping brands, entertainment and dining. Souq Al-Hijaz
