Ziyarat Places In Mecca

There is no doubt that Hajj and Umrah are sacred Islamic Destinations. In these religious rituals, Muslims receive the first Hajj or the Umrah package All Inclusive and perform the Hajj and Umrah. Muslims should know the Ziyarat places in Makkah.

Regardless of Hajj or Umrah, the holy places of Makkah and its vicinity include:

Masjid Jinn

The mosque, also known as Masjid Hars, is built on the same spot where the Prophet (PBUH) drew the line for Abdullah bin Mas'ud(R.A) who came with the Muhammad (PBUH). The jinn were ordered to recite the Quran.

Jabal Noor

Jabal Noor is located at about 3 km from Mecca and a famous Hira cave is situated on the top of this mountain, where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) received the first revealed of the Holy Quran.

Masjid Juranah

The mosque Juranah is a meeqaat for visitors coming from Taif. The Prophet (peace be upon him) wore Ihram after his return from the Battle of Hunayn.

Jabal Rahma, Arafaat

Jabal Rahma (mountain of mercy) identifies the area where Adam and Eve were meet together on earth after descending from Jannah. It is located at that place where pilgrims gather on the 9th Dhul Hijjah, that is one of the main places of Hajj.

Jabal Thawr

Jabal Thawr is the mountain that contains that cave where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Abu Bakr (RA) stayed for three days and nights to the save themselves from Quraysh, as they left Makkah and emigrated to Madinah.

Masjid Nimra

Nimra Mosque is where Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) delivered his last sermon on the day of Hajj.

Jamaraat Pillars

The three pillars are called Jammaraat that is located in Mina and pilgrims perform the stoning ritual there because Devil tried to misguide the Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) to sacrifice his son, right at these places.

Masjid of Hudaibiyah

This mosque identifies the place where the contract Hudaibiya was signed.

Jannatul Mualla

Jannatul Mualla is an old cemetery of Mecca. This is where Prophet Muhammad's wife, grandfather, and other ancestors were buried.

Masjid Taneem

Taneem serves as a meeqat (a station for wearing Ihram clothes) for people living in Mecca. This mosque is also known as Aisha Masjid because Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH)'s wife Aisha (RA) once put her Ihram at this place.

Kiswa Factory and Makkah Museum

The Kiswa factory is a place where the cloth that covers the Kaaba is made. Adjacent to it is a museum exhibiting the architecture of two sacred mosques

Muzdalifa - Masjid Mash’arul Haram

Muzdalifa is where Hajj pilgrims arrive after sunset from Arafat on the 9th Dhul Hijjah. Here pilgrims collect pebbles for the pelting on Jamaraat. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) stayed at the spot where the Masjid Mash’arul Haram is located

Makkah Al Mukarramah Library

It is widely accepted that the library (built-in 1951) place on the site where Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was born.

Masjid al-Khayf (Mina)

Masjid al-Khayf is where the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) stayed in Mina during his Hajj.

Tuwa Well

The Tuwa Well is where the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) spent the night before the Conquest of Makkah.

Masjid As-Shajarah

Masjid As-Shajarah is located towards the North of Makkah near Maulla cemetery and opposite to Masjid Jinn. The Masjid marks the spot from where the Prophet (PBUH) called a tree and it came to him.
