Only a few years ago, there were only a handful of Dual SIM Android Phones to be found in the market. However, in a short time, these have become with customers due to the amazing specs that they come with as well as the convenience of having the powerful Android platform and the double SIM cards that they come with.

At present, all phone makers in the industry have their own Dual SIM phones at varied prices. A top electronic device manufacturer, Samsung the Korean giant, also has its own Dual SIM phones to offer to customers. The Samsung Galaxy S Duos is one of its main offerings in this segment.

Design

The design of this model is similar to that of the popular Samsung Galaxy S III. It has a smaller screen size, and you get actually a 4-inch capacitive display with a 480 x800 Pixels resolution. -This makes it better than many other rival offerings, such as LG Optimus L3 Dual E405, Micromax Ninja 3.5 A54 and even the Samsung Galaxy Young S6312 which come with 3.2 inch, 3.5 inch and 3.27 inch screens.

Processor

The S Duos is fitted with a 1.2 GHz dual core processor, which makes it more powerful than other competing Dual SIM phones that are equipped with a 1 GHz dual core processor, such as:

  • Xolo A800
  • LG Optimus L7 II P715 and
  • Karbonn A6

Operating System

The phone runs on the Android v4.2 (Jellybean) operating system, and can also run and support the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Platform. This is not something that you can find in most other phones of this type from rival companies such as Micromax Bolt A35, LG Optimus L5 Dual E615 and Sony Xperia E Dual which can run only operating systems like:

  • Android v2.3 (Gingerbread)
  • Android v4.0 (IceCream Sandwich) and
  • Android v4.3 (Jellybean)

Basically, there is support for only a single OS in these phones.

Features

The phone has a weight of just 120 gms, and comes with amazing features like 5 MP rear camera with flash along with a 0.3 MP VGA front camera. It has 4 GB internal storage memory which can be expanded to 32 GB, and 512 MB RAM. It is equipped with GPRS and 3G for internet connectivity.

There is Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for seamless pairing with other devices. Clearly, it is a winner all along the way and has been designed to beat many other rivals in its segment.
