Have a passion for Golf, would surely like to protect their equipments such as golf club heads for a better game. A thick covering can protect your Golf club heads as well as work as a style statement for you. A golf club head covers is essential to protect your club from getting scratched because of sharing the space inside your bag with other clubs and goods. Making a golf club head cover is not a difficult task. You can easily make one by following a few easy steps as follows –

  • To make a golf club head cover, you will require a few things such as a thick woven fabric, a pair of scissors, a needle and a matching coloured thread.
  • Choose a fabric of a thick tight weave, such as that of a blanket, sweater, woolen material, socks etc, which may provide a thick tough base for your golf club head cover. This material should be durable enough, so as to endure during the rough use period on the golf course.
  • Now fold the material to make it double and draw to give the material shape like that of your golf club head. If it is round, give a round shape; if it is rectangle give it a rectangle shape and so on. Try to keep enough extra space for any later alteration required.
  • Now start stitching the material in the shape of your club head to give it a proper shape. Do not stitch the bottom part and leave it open for the club head to slide in through it. You have to remember to stitch a proper shape for your golf iron headcovers, to make it fit well and not come off loose.
  • Now with the needle and thread stitch the large open end of the cover towards the shaft leaving only enough space for the head to slip in and out of the cover conveniently. If you wish, you can overlap the cover with extra layers of the material for further durability but without making it heavy.
  • After giving the final touch to your golf head cover, you should try slipping in and out the head cover of the golf club several times to be sure of it not getting stuck in the process.
