It was only in 1791 when the place was finally occupied by the Portuguese, until then it was ruled by several Hindu kings including the Sonde Rajas of Vijayanagar Empire. Baga Beach - Situated in North Goa, Baga Beach Goa is the centre of tourist attractions in the state.
