But, you don’t want to spend a lot of money purchasing something that you may only use once or twice. How do you make sure that the company you’re working with has your best interests in mind?

First, the company that takes care of these rentals should have pretty much anything that you want. If you need stands for your banners and/or signs, you can get them. If you need to rent a game board or something similar for one single trade show, you should have access to that as well. If they don’t have them available, they should either give you the ability to find somewhere else that you can get them, or they will find a way to get them so that you can rent them from the company. Easy as that.

Are the staff members friendly? Many of these companies will work hard to make sure that you get what you need, but sometimes, they don’t come off like they want to work with you. The best companies are ones that make you feel valued as a customer, and that genuinely want to help you achieve your goals. For example, I had an experience once where I wasn’t quite sure how I wanted to set up my trade show booth. I knew what I already had at my disposal, but I wasn’t really sure as to what I was going to do to set everything up.
