Soak in the charms of the heritage city of Nizam- Hyderabad

This winter, visit Hyderabad and celebrate the beauty of the place with the Charminar, Biriyani and Ramoji Film City. It is an apt place to explore with family and children. Here is a brief orientation of Hyderabad.
Hyderabad, the city of Nizams is one of the prominent cities of India. With a glorious past, great culture and heritage to be cherished, Hyderabad is also a wonderland for Biriyani lovers. As you soak in plenty of historical sites, the New Hyderabad has become a major centre for IT services and film Industry. Hyderabad is a perfect destination to spend with your children.
Founded in 1592, Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah commissioned the famous Charminar. Later in 1763, the nizams restored its importance and during the British era, Hyderabad became the largest and most popular princely states and the nizams became prominent around the world. By the early 2000s, Hyderabad replaced Bangalore and took the position as IT town and was soon nicknamed as Cyberabad. Hyderabad with a mixed culture is a great place to explore. Hyderabad is now the capital of both Andhra Pradesh and the newly evolved Telangana. With the influx of tourists almost from across the world, the city’s tourism has developed drastically. Hyderabad is quite a large city in which the Musi river and the Hussain Sagar lake are 4 km apart. Between the river and the lake, there are several important structures of the Nizami period and the commercial region with many hotels as well. The old city is on the south of Musi River. The Charminar, the first structure of the city is a four tower mosques. The great architecture is a delight to view. The Charminar looks beautiful during the day and perfectly lighted at night. The yellow and green hues make it more admirable.
Amidst the busy city, the Charminar is a fair gift of spirituality and peace. The Mecca Masjid is just 150 m southwest of Charminar. This is referred as the most important mosque of the state. It is known that the bricks of this masjid were brought from Mecca and thus named after that. The later nizams are buried here. Visitors are only permitted into the courtyard. Chow Mahalla Palace, the main residence of the nizams, Badshahi Ashurkhana, Purani Haveli- Nizam’s Museum, the former royal place of the nizams is now turned into a museum and a college and Salar Jang Museum are some of the prominent attractions of the Old Hyderabad.
The New Hyderabad lies in the north of Musi River and also offer some wonderful landmarks to cherish like the Residency, most important European style building in the city is also known as Koti is now the University College for Women and few more.
Well, it is always a good idea to check the Hyderabad tourism map after you reach the place and plan accordingly from where to start. However, cheap as well as 3 star hotels in Hyderabad are well spread across the city. So, it is not a problem as also most of the hotels offer a car for sightseeing. Besides, these historical sites make sure to add some fun by visiting Ramoji Film City. When you are in Hyderabad do not forget to taste the world famous culinary, the Hyderabadi Biriyani. All the small and big eateries of the city serve Biriyani. You can also bring some wonderful Ittar (perfumes) and Bidri Art pieces from Hyderabad.
