A Beginner’s Look At The Twin Peaks

At Grayson Hobby, our staff can’t get enough of Dyson RC’s amazing set of remote controlled airplanes and goodies. Perhaps the most popular - if not the most fun to fly – is the Twin Peaks, more commonly called the Pitts Python. The Pitts Python is considered a mainstay in the RC airplane hobbyist community, and to many RC plane owners, owning one is a bragging right.

When you look at it, can you really blame RC airplane enthusiasts for wanting their own Pitts Python?

This exceptionally skillfully designed radio controlled airplane involves a 3D interface. Featuring a very powerful 650KV power system, and a 50A Brushless Dectrum with Switch Mode for speed control, the Pitts Python is a unique combination of highly detailed design work with a lightweight body. Thanks to its old-school wing design, fliers can get to enjoy watching their Twin Peaks RC airplane do all sorts of advance acrobatic stunts not normally doable by beginner or intermediate fliers. It’s a very, very fun to fly radio controlled airplane, mostly due to its high level of responsiveness.

Unlike most beginner planes that offer aerodynamic stunt abilities, the Twin Peaks airplane has a longer flight time than what you’d expect. Flight times can be up to 10 minutes in length – not an easy feat considering the plane’s massive 42 inch wingspan. At around 45 inches or so in length, the Twin Peaks is a very beautifully decorated plane that is large enough to be visible at high altitudes. Don’t be too shocked if onlookers point at a Twin Peaks and marvel at the controller’s flying skills. Its stunning yellow and black exterior is enough to get compliments alone!

A good reason why Grayson Hobby staff members suggest Dyson RC as a beginner RC airplane enthusiast’s first brand is because we love how durable these planes are. With the Twin Peaks plane kit, it’s not only durable enough to withstand typical beginner wear and tear, but also a great kit for those of us who are not into the idea of having "construction project" planes that take a long time to put together. A regular person can assemble the Pitts Python in about an hour’s time, so you will still get that sense of accomplishment without too many hours invested. It’s an easy plane to assemble, and you can even pick up your own radio transmitter for the kit’s use.

Right now, this beginner’s radio controlled airplane kit is on sale for around $130, with other major parts varying in price from maker to maker. Beginners who want to get into the adventure and thrill of radio controlled airplane flight, especially 3D interface flight, should check the Pitts Python out sooner rather than later. After all, this sale isn’t going to last forever, and with a quality brand like Dyson RC, you can bet a great amount of money that this model will fly off shelves at the price it’s being offered.
