Reasons to Rent La Tania Chalets In the Summer
Posted: Nov 21, 2013
When making plans for the summer, heading to a ski resort is nowhere near the top priority in most people’s minds. Common sense says that if there is no snow, and therefore no opportunities to ski or snowboard, winter retreats are not worth heading to. But while there used to be a lot of truth to this statement, recent years have seen resorts in the French Alps invest in activities suitable for the summer, making the summer rental of La Tania chalets less of a rarity than it would once have been.
Holidaymakers wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of beach locations, or seeking something different than the fly-and-flop holidays typical of this time of year, might be interested in seeking out resorts such as La Tania. Chalets are just as quaint and cozy in the summer as they are during the winter months, and there are a surprising amount of activities you can indulge in, from the sportier to the slightly lazier.
La Tania chalets, for instance, are currently served by basketball, beach volleyball and tennis courts, as well as by an outdoor pool, table tennis tables and boules pitches. While these may seem ridiculous during the winter months – when most customers will be rushing from the slopes to the comfort of their centrally heated accommodation – they open up a wealth of possibilities for tourists visiting during the summer. When added to nearby opportunities for outdoor sports such as rafting, rock climbing, paragliding, downhill biking or fishing, these facilities complete an appealing panorama for those who prefer the mountain air to the ocean breeze for their summer holidays.
For those who would still like a more traditional holiday, this traditionally winter destination can still serve as an excellent base for exploring the many possibilities of the regions. Water sports, for instance, can be indulged in at nearby Annecy, while Courchevel and Méribel both offer golf courses. Residential summer camps for children are also offered nearby, rounding up a surprisingly varied summer offer from the French mountain resorts.
As you can see, then, the idea of renting La Tania chalets during the summer is far from being as far-fetched as it sounds. Ski resorts have really been branching out from that denomination and diversifying their offers so they can remain appealing to tourists year-round. So the next time you feel like doing something different on your summer holidays, why not give one of them a try?
