Lady Belúlah, as urban and sophisticated

From Jerez de la Frontera two friends, Natalie and Susan have created a delicate fashion brand for brides and guests
We talked by phone with Natalia Gómez, it is 50% of Belúlah while Susana Quiros is the other half. From his shop in Jerez, where they sell their clothes by sizes or we can order the design as we attend to discuss her fashion company, which was born nearly seven years ago with flamenco soul but with the passage of time it has converted a space for brides and guests "elegant with a fresh touch."

What is the history of your company?
We started in 2009, we left our jobs policy, I was in Vitoria and Susana in Malaga. On a vacation, having coffee, we decided to take the step of installing the company. Our work had nothing to do with fashion, we were directors of clinics, we have always directed work teams in various sectors while fashion was always for both a hobby, a hobby. But when it comes to starting a business for us, win for us and not give it to someone else, we wanted out of fashion because it's what we like both. We started doing flamenco dresses and then our customers started asking us wedding dresses and party and so grew Belúlah.

Yes, despite having been born as a company of flamenco dresses it is now less do. The Flemish keep doing by not abandon what we did at the beginning, but now our strength is really brides and guests.

To us it suited us well, we knew there was crisis, but our companies were well and had not suffered. People told us we were crazy to leave our jobs as things were. And the truth is that we cried because we left a job to start a business and the first two years were very hard, and while growing up, the beginnings are difficult for any company. People think that the ride takes money for initial investment only, but you also have to keep a year without winning anything. We suffer, but we are resilient and we are already nearly seven years.
Where does the name Belúlah?
The logo had very clear that wanted it to be a dragonfly because it is an auspicious symbol, high society women used them as a brooch as a sign of rank. A symbol of power, elegance and good fortune. We were one afternoon on the computer to refine the logo and one of my nieces looked at him and asked «what are you watching Tita, belúlas?". And so we were. We put the h because she was not registered in German. The average language of my niece invented.
And looking to the future. What are your next steps?
We just opened the online store to extend the brand, so that from any point of Spain you can buy a suit. And we sent many made dresses, but now with the online store will be easier. Multibrand stores also sell Spanish, we have projects with Oviedo, Madrid, Murcia, Alicante... In 2016 we will see invited Belúlah outside Andalusia, certainly. The idea is to grow the line so invited. And of course, make our girlfriends know more. We have never had samples or shooting because we have always done as brides and so will draw collection and make a photo shoot or runway work for display. There are clients who do not dare to ask a dress without seeing or tested.
What are the challenges a company like Belúlah?
In our field of invited everyone it does the same and often in bad taste. Firms that use bad, clothing fabrics abroad without quality sewing... Just do it quickly and cheaply selling. We care very much materials, fashion clothing under $10 and above all, we try to make our client also get to wear a dress a certain look. So we get into the shoe, bag, touched... Not only selling a dress, that the client is going great and that's the image you want to achieve and they'll come looking for when they come to the store.
