Inside Christine Bleakley and Frank Lampard’s wedding: Preparation in full swing at reception
The couple are hosting the reception at the Arts Club in the city
Wedding preparation is underway at the Arts Club for Christine Bleakley and Frank Lampard, as a team have been pictured assembling an floral archway at the plush venue.
Chelsea legend Frank will say ‘I do’ in an intimate ceremony with the former Dancing On Ice presenter on Sunday afternoon in front of guests rumoured to include his former teammates including John Terry and Wayne Rooney.
There’s no shortage of floral arrangements at the bash, with pink and white roses spiral the stair case, as well as festive decorations coil around the pillars outside.
Frank and Christine have reportedly shunned a big magazine deal, and will be celebrating their nuptials with a low-key affair but with a stage making its way into the venue – it’s definitely going to be a fun party.Photo:blue bridesmaid dresses
The couple were hoping to have Ed Sheeran, who recently announced his hiatus, perform on their big day.
So far, no word on whether the Thinking Out Loud star will be there. But, there are rumours that One Direction star Niall Horan could be in attendance as he is good pals with the couple.
Bride-to-be Christine Bleakley looked radiant as she ran errands in London the day before her wedding to fiancé Frank Lampard.
Just as her wedding dress was being delivered and family and friends began to arrive at her London home, Christine was spotted on London road picking up a few bits.
The brunette star wearing an all black ensemble was seen chatting away on her mobile phone as she whizzed around the London streets.
While Christine was getting the last bits done on her solo shopping trip, her wedding dress was finally being delivered from Suzanne Neville.
The brunette star will marry got her wedding dress collected on Saturday from the Knightsbridge boutique.
Shielded in dress bags, Christine’s wedding dress and her bridesmaids’ gowns looked as if they had plenty of volume as several assistants helped carry them from the studio.
Christine will join the likes of Katherine Jenkins, Victoria Pendleton and Kym Marsh, who all picked Suzanne Neville for their fairytale weddings.
Christine has worn the designer before, when she wore a bespoke navy crepe dress for the former Chelsea star’s OBE ceremony at Buckingham Palace in October.
It was previously reported that Christine and Chelsea legend Frank were set to marry in a festive ceremony, just days before Christmas.
The former 'Dancing On Ice' presenter and her footballer beau, who got engaged in 2011, are finally set to become husband and wife on Sunday December 20 when they exchange vows in front of their close friends and family.
A source said: "Christine and Frank have had the date set for a while but have been trying to keep it under wraps.
"They want it to be an intimate affair and have only invited close friends and family. They haven't signed a big magazine deal like a lot of stars do because it's not their style."
The loved-up couple have asked Ed Sheeran, 24, to be their official wedding singer during the reception at the lavish members'-only The Arts Club in Central London.
The insider explained to The Sun newspaper: "Ed is keen but already has something in the diary that day, so he is trying to move things in order to make it."
Meanwhile, although the guest list is fairly small, Christine, 36, has reportedly invited her former 'DOI' co-star Phillip Schofield and presenter Susanna Reid to the nuptials.
Frank, 37 - who now plays for New York FC - has also asked his ex-England teammates John Terry, Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney, and Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho to attend.
