Few people love their machines as it is. If you are a true biker, don’t just settle for what you get out of the showroom. Give that personal touch to your motorcycle for a pump in performance. Here’s what you can do:

Adjust your bike’s suspension settings

Someone rightly said that a bike chooses its own rider. A bike’s size and weight responds differently to every human body. But, it is easy to set the bike up for your weight and comfort by making some basic adjustments in its suspension settings. With settings like preload or compression/rebound damping, which can be done at home with basic tools, you can convince any bike to serve you with a smooth ride.

Replace the tyres

Strong grip. Burning speed. Smooth ride. Remember the feeling of a new bike? Well, nothing can bring that back like new tyres. High quality rubber compounds in fresh tyres help the rider maintain a strong grip and the right balance, making it comfortable for him to ride. On an average, the front tyre of a sport motorcycle can last up to 3700 miles and the rear tyre can go up to 1800 miles before both need to be changed.

Upgrade brake pads

On a motorcycle, what stops us is actually more important than what keeps us going i.e. the braking system. If you want your bike to be more firm and responsive, you need to have superior quality brake pads and rubber brake lines. High quality HH-grade brake pads grab better and hold longer, giving you the ability to stop better and go faster, fearlessly.

Add frame sliders

Your bike is so gawd-awful fast. The better you protect it, the freer you’ll be to push yourself and focus on your technique of clever riding. So it is always recommended to bolt on a set of frame sliders to the motorcycle frame and give it a safe edge. It’s pocket-friendly and gels well with the dynamics of the machine.

Wash and wax your bike

Your bike is not less than your body. If you protect it better, it’ll go further. You’ll be surprised how far a regular wash and wax goes toward boosting and protecting your ride. It lets you inspect your bike up-close to catch any mechanical maladies before they develop into serious problems. Don’t forget to give a glance on tyre-tread wear, chain slack, sprocket wear and the oil level while washing your machine.

This season, don’t just settle with how your good ol’ bike has always been. Do it up before you take it for a spin and make a few heads turn. Checkout the latest biking tips at Trails Of India.
