Shawn M. Williams Has Worked With Renowned Companies

Shawn M. Williams is a highly experienced professional who has served different companies through senior legal and contract positions. He holds Masters of Business Administration from Averett University and Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. He started working with the U.S. Marine Corps as Non-Commissioned Officer in February 1995. During most of his tenure, he supported Judge Advocate General (JAG) offices in Japan and Washington, DC as clerk at the management level. He supervised the JAG office staff, office management and the drafting of formal legal documentation and correspondence. As the offices are located at different places, he was transferred to Washington DC to ceremonial unit serving as a Congressional and Senate Liaison.
In March 1999, Shawn M. Williams started working as the Contracts Manager at Siemens, Reston, VA. During his 5 years of service in the company, he was responsible for reviewing contracts with potential clients and used interpersonal relations to allow smooth negotiations in a win-win atmosphere. He supervised negotiation of applicable terms and conditions in proposals and as a result protected organization from undue risk. For the growth of the company, he protected the company’s revenue by negotiating out potential business risks to the organization.
From January 2004-April 2006, he worked as Director of Contracts & Associate Legal Counsel at Raytheon, Laurel, MD. In this company, he was the member of the leadership team, guiding the future of the organization. He handled the staff who provided quotes, reviewed and submitted outstanding claims and A/R issues that entailed reviewing contracts. Shawn organized the GSA schedule initiating modifications and renewals. He observed the legal and contract departments of a multi-million dollar international organization specialized in software. Besides this, he managed all types of government contracts including firm fixed price, cost plus fixed fee and time and material.
Shawn M. Williams in 2006, started working as Corporate Counsel at American Systems Corporation, Chantilly, VA. With his serious efforts, he led the legal office and acts as advisor to the contracts department of large defense contractor. He possesses in-depth knowledge of claims, litigation and supervision of outside counsel. He also drafted, reviewed and negotiated terms of software service agreements, licenses, and related contracts/subcontracts. In the company, ethics and compliance officer and advisor made recommendations to the CEO on the legal, business and ethical duties of the organization. In addition, he managed all kinds of government contracts including cost plus fixed fee, firm fixed price, time and materials.
