SRM University: Alumini Network & Admissions

SRM University is one of the best engineering universities in India. The university provides both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in various fields of education. The university ranked No 1 for multiple stream- Engineering and Medical in Education Times- GFK model survey 2009, and was also ranked in top 5 institutions in Tamil Nadu by outlook Magazine. The university has four campuses- Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Vadapalani and NCR. The university also has associations with international universities and colleges in USA, UK, Korea, Switzerland etc.

SRM University Alumni Network is big and strong. It has been formed with the vision of lifetime welfare for the SRMU community and its members. The members are very active and effectively participate and support the network. The members provide guest lectures, help in internships and placements, donate books and provide educational scholarships.

The admission procedure has already begun for the B.tech and M.tech programs. Candidates who are willing to apply for the B.tech courses must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics as the compulsory subject from a recognized board or equivalent. The candidate must have passed 10+2 with minimum 55% marks. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their SRMJEE score. The exam is conducted by the university itself. The examination date for SRMJEE is 19 April, 2016.

Candidates who are interested in M. tech courses must hold a bachelor’s degree in B.E or B.Tech from a recognized university or institute. The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their score in SRMGEET. However, candidates who have a valid GATE score will also be considered for admission. The examination date for SRMGEET is 23 April, 2016 and 24 April, 2016.

Candidates interested in MBA programs must hold a bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institute with minimum 60% marks. The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their SRMCAT score. The examination date for SRMCAT is 23 April, 2016.

Candidates may apply online on the official site of SRM. The last date for applications for the B.tech programs is 15 March and for the M.tech programs is 15 April 2016. The last date to apply for SRMCAT is 30 March, 2016.
