Nexus S PhoneNexus S has available a single microphone, which is implemented a software solution to block ambient noise. His performances are generally good, but when using speaker mode is recommended to maintain a distance of less than 50 cm for best results.

Software

Touch interface is accurate and easy thanks to the curvature of the screen and very comfortable to use. Android OS 2.3 is left largely to the original interface, whose theme was just slightly customized for a better harmony with the design in shades of black phone.

Virtual keyboard has not caused any problems, although the use of vertical buttons are too small for comfort.

Web browser works seamlessly and supports Flash animations. Web pages load quickly, and this does not degrade too much Flash animation fluidity scroll function.

Playing media content using Adobe Flash plugin 10.1 poses no problems in general, the only exception being sequences 720p and 1080p resolution video available on YouTube, where it is better to choose the dedicated player software pre-installed memory.

Pre-installed applications list also includes a manager component and Google Earth, Latitude, Maps, News & Weather, email client and Gmail services, namely an instant messaging client.

General operation of the phone did not lead to serious problems blocking complete or restart the operating system, but we had occasional crashes of applications. Some applications include problems with YouTube and Google Earth client, who occasionally refuses to start displaying a message requesting the installation of an SD memory card, the requirement impossible to fulfill on this phone. Fortunately this problem can be solved by rebooting the phone.

The pictures are clear and provided a high level of detail and noise level remains low even in low light conditions, where we get only a progressive reduction in image clarity. Shades and contrast levels have not caused any problems, but pictures submitted to artificial light tend to be overexposed, resulting in loss of detail in well-lit portions.

Shooting mode is useful for occasional recordings. Video clips look pretty good as long as ambient light is plentiful, otherwise we have a modest rendering objects in motion and a much lower level of detail.

Headset offers good sound quality generally, but not the claims of an audiophile.

Google Nexus S take full advantage of Li-Ion 1500 mAh, can offer a range of approximately 3 days under circumstances of normal use with WiFi enabled module.
