Hrithik Roshan is an Indian actor who was introduced to the industry by his maternal grandfather producer-director J. Om Prakash. At the tender age of 6 years, Hrithik was introduced to the screen by his grandfather who slyly had his crew record the boy without his knowledge while he was busy dancing on the set of Aasha back in 1980. Six years later, Hrithik’s grandfather Mr. Prakash gave the young man his first speaking role while he directed him in the key role of Rajnikanth's adopted son in Bhagwaan Dada.

Hrithik Roshan had his first leading role in 2000 in his debut in the movie Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai that earned him Filmfare Awards for Best Male Debut and Best Actor. In 2001, Roshan appeared in the melodrama Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, which went on to become India's highest-grossing movie overseas. This happens to be one of his biggest commercial achievements. After a timid run in his career from 2002 to 2003, Mr. Roshan starred in Koi... Mil Gaya and its sequel Krrish, which were both commercially successful and also won him some Best Actor awards. His outstanding performance in the action film Dhoom 2 in 2006 made him be honoured with the third Filmfare Best Actor Award.

Hrithik, later on, received critical acclaim for his outstanding performance in Jodhaa Akbar. This also made him receive his first international award at the Golden Minbar International Film Festival. All these achievements have made him become an icon and a leading actor whose beautiful works of art are not only aired on Indian TV live and Indian TV Channels but are also appreciated internationally specially USA and Canada.

As many refer to him as the Greek god of Indian Cinema, Hrithik Roshan has also voted as the sexiest man in Asia in 2014. This is attributed to by his well-defined chiseled body and stunning looks. His versatile acting and flexible dancing moves have enthralled his Bollywood viewers for over a decade and thus earning him a large fan base.

Apart of his busy acting schedule, Mr. Roshan also inspires young people. On September 21, 2013, he addressed a group of GIIS Students across Asia. The central theme of his speech was that "Nobody can stop you from achieving your goals and be a superstar in your right." The message was passed to students across the whole of Asia from Malaysia to Japan and even Singapore.

Hrithik Roshan has had his challenges in life that could have seen many people breakdown but instead of this, he managed to come out a stronger and better man that people look up to in the society. He is a role model for many, and it would be prudent if both young and old would borrow a leaf or two from him.
