Kollam is distinctly known for its Cashew industry and used to be a critical centre of trade amid days of yore. Thangassery Beach

This beach is 5 kilometers from Kollam and a beautiful shoreline, just perfect to laze around and enjoy the sun, sea, and sand. It has the remains of an old fortification, which gives it an old world appeal.

Aryankavu Pilgrimage

This prominent tourist spot is situated at some distance from centre of Kollam, yet is visited on a frequent basis. The temple holds its yearly celebration in December and is a fabulous scene to keep an eye out for.

Palaruvi Waterfalls

The Palaruvi waterfalls are a progression of excellent rapids, falling through steep heights and tumbling down beneath to make a shallow pool. Needless to say, it is one of the most popular places to visit in Kollam. The water here is verging and white, giving an impression that it is milk rather than water.
