Canada is known as one of the best skiing destinations worldwide largely due to it offering some brilliant characteristics including famous powder, variety of terrain, extraordinary verticals, picturesque views, advanced lifts and wonderful hospitality.

Whistler Blackcomb, Kicking Horse, Lake Louise and Fernie ski resorts are a few of the most recognizable names, but many are unaware of Jasper (Marmot Basin), Sun Peaks, Panorama andRevelstoke which is even one of the best up and coming advanced skier mountains around.

Marmot Basin and is renowned for being one of the best powder areas for North America skiing. The snow is dry, light and fluffy. Due to the lack of crowds and the dryness of the snow it stays in great condition for weeks after a fall. The terrain is ideal for all levels of skier and boarders from beginner to expert with intermediates probably getting the best of it.

Sun Peaks offers surprising diversity across its three mountains covering 3,678 acres. As the second largest ski area in British Columbia, and the third largest in Canada, Sun Peaks certainly delivers glades, bumps, steeps, long cruisers, alpine bowls and even a park. It’s all here and the closest you get to another person is on the chairlift.

Panorama ski resort is known for one of North Americas biggest verticals and is any big mountain riders dream. Renowned for its long vertical and steep terrain, big park and back-country style skiing off the lifts the resort can really challenge you.

Revelstoke Mountain is a serious skier or snowboarders dream. Its a giant of a mountain, best suited to strong intermediates and experts. With 1,829m of vertical the average visitor manages only 1.5 gondola rides a day. Revelstoke has 3,121 acres of fall line skiing, high alpine bowls, 15 areas of gladed terrain and phenomenal groomed terrain and is the only resort world-wide to offer lift, cat, heli and backcountry skiing from one village base.

Canada has plenty of untapped resorts for your next ski holiday in which all will certainly tickle all of your tastes.
