The Himalayan mountain range forms a beautiful outline of the Indian subcontinent. The range spans ten states of India and has the mesmeric valley of Kashmir at its lap.

Kashmir as a city is fascinating and is also referred to as heaven on earth. The Dal Lake is a key tourist spot which is lined by the beautiful Mughal Gardens.

As for making a visit, April to September is a preferable time span. The details of the places of the visit can be found in Kashmir tour packages of the Southern Travels. The packages include trips to four places which are in the vicinity of the city.

Your arrival to the city depends on your choice that is either by air or by train. The travel fare is not included in the package cost. You will be provided with breakfast every day throughout your trip as it is inclusive in your package. On arrival, you will be a checked-in hotel or in Shikara Boat and will visit Nehru Park.

The next day begins with breakfast and from there you proceed to the next step of your journey which is a visit to Shankaracharya Temple and the Mughal gardens of Nishat, Shalimar, and Chashme Shahi.

The Shalimar garden was opened in early 1600 A.D by Jahangir and is the largest of all Mughal gardens. The Nishat Bagh is the second largest and is famous for its 12 terraces each with different detailing.

Chashme Shahi is the smallest of the three and was built as a gift to Shah Jahan’s son. It has Pari Mahal on its east which was utilized to study astrology by Dara Sikoh. All these gardens are generously blessed by nature and are bliss to eyes.

The next day we journey to Sonmarg and the Thajiwas Glacier and then head back to the hotel for overnight stay. For the next stop, we proceed to Pahalgam, where you check-in for the day. From here you can visit the Betaab valley which is named after the film shot here, and the Chandanwari which is the starting point of Amarnath Yatra in the month of July and August.

The beauty of Kashmir is mesmerizing. The gardens and the natural scenic make the area peaceful and an ideal place to relax. The spring season of Kashmir is breathtaking. The valley is covered with a sheet of flowers.

The last two days of the trip are dedicated to Gulmarg and Afarwatt Mountain range. The Strawberry Valley is worth a visit in Gulmarg. You can also go for horse riding in this place. The Gandola car cable gives access to ascend the mountain range of Afarwatt.

All the parking and travelling charges and driver rewards are included in the package cost, however, you need to pay for horse riding and the car cable in Gulmarg.
