David M. Daggett is a hardworking and successful Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and business professional. He worked hard to build his career and develop his knowledge. In 1983, he graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He had concentrated on accounting and while he was a student, he worked for an accounting firm in Carlsbad, California. After he graduated from college, he began working with Arthur Andersen & Company, which was the largest accounting firm at the time. He started in the tax department and worked his way over to the small business division.

He gained valuable experience and developed his knowledge of small business finances and tax regulations. In 1985, he was recruited by a major accounting firm called Deloitte & Touche. David M. Daggett began working in the Oxnard office in the tax department. In 1986, he became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and was promoted to tax manager. Daggett worked hard and developed a strong knowledge of tax planning and compliance. He also built valuable client relationships. Only a year later, he chose to open his own accounting firm. With sixty percent of his clients from Deloitte & Touche behind him, he opened David M. Daggett & Company, CPA. His client relationships helped him get off to a great start as a firm owner. Over the next thirteen years, he purchased two additional accounting firms and created a large practice.

Accounting was not his only business endeavor. He also became an entrepreneur and business owner. In 1994, David M Daggett CPA grandfather passed away. Daggett took over his grandfather’s company, F. Morton Pitt Co. This company manufactured fiberglass rear seats for police cars as well as shotgun lock holders for law enforcement. The company had been steadily losing profit until Daggett took over. In only five years he turned the company around. Daggett sold the company, and the in 2001, he started a new company. He used funds from another one of his business ventures to start Gator Hawk Armor, Inc. He developed armor for law enforcement and created a successful business.

David M. Daggett used his knowledge of the financial industry to help his companies succeed. He is a dedicated and hardworking professional who has years of experience. In 2011, he also decided to reenter the accounting industry. He became a partner with a prestigious firm and took on approximately 400 new clients. David M. Daggett is a CPA who has created a successful career in finance and in business.
