Norwich Airport Parking’s 9 places to go your bucket list

The world is ever changing, Mountains that once stood a mile high are now flat, oceans are now deserts, once baron landscapes are now cosmopolitan cities. It’s safe to say nothing in this world is permanent everything has it’s time, but before it’s our time we all have those things we want to do, those places we need to see, those life events we want to tick off. Because in all honesty I’m feeling a bit morose about what happened in Orlando on the 12/6/16, here is a list of the top nine travel destinations that I and other members of Care Free Parking want to see as well as a few suggestions from people who used the cheapest airport parking service for their Norwich Airport Parking.

As a Millennial there is a good chance I am never going to get the chance to see a polar bear in its natural habitat, although saying that, who actually has? Anyway this is number one on the list, you take a long, cold journey up to the high arctic to reach the island of spitsberg. This island is a hunting ground for the polar bear, where they will either hunt fresh food or eat the carcass of a washed up wale. At this island you will also see seabirds performing spectacular displays to attract a mate, bleach white beluga wales just off the shore and even groups of walruses.

The second place on the Care Free Parking bucket list, is the Galapagos Islands. The Galapagos Islands are the epicentre of the evolution movement, so any creationists probably want to strike this place off their lists. The Galapagos Islands provided the inspiration for Charles Darwin to create his ‘Origin of Species’ where he looked at the vast wildlife of the islands, experienced the beauty of the landscape, and understood the world deeper than anyone had ever done before.

The third place to take a spot on this list, is the Great Barrier Reef. The Great Barrier Reef spreads 2.3km against the Queensland coast. It was voted one of the seven wonders of the natural world, has world heritage status, it’s the world’s largest protected marine site, with 40 types of coral, thousands of fish, molluscs and wales, dugongs, sharks, turtles, dolphins and some seabirds. The chance to dive and experience this world that is so close and yet so different to ours is a once in a life time experience that I refuse to miss.

This isn’t one of my personal ones, but it’s the general census here at Care Free Parking office that the great American road trip is definitely up there. This is a coast to coast driving trip that will take you through the heart of America, showing you wonders like the Grand Canyon, down the legendary Route 66, and past many of the great American landmarks that are synonymous with the country.

For many people in the world on their list is some form of pilgrimage. I’m not a religious person, but it is very much on my list to visit the Vatican City, this inset country is the home to the greatest pieces of art, the most beautiful churches, and has a history that can be literally dated back to the start of religion. Although it makes no difference to me, it’s on my list to go to one the pope’s masses in St. Peters square and marvel at the power of religion, love and faith.

The destination that gets to take the sixth spot on this bucket list is the Batu Caves in Malaysia. Batu caves is a limestone hill that has caves and temples carved into it, it gets its name from the river which flows directly past the hill. It is one of the most popular Hindu shrines not in india. This temple may already be familiar to you, if you’ve ever heard of a place where there are monkeys that attack tourists for food, this is the place, and however this is probably not going to happen to you, so long as you don’t take food.

No bucket list of places to visit can be complete without two specific places. The first which has taken seventh place on our list, is the pyramids of Giza. These huge monuments are time capsules to a culture and a belief system that has long been extinct. They are the only remaining monument from the 7 wonders of the world. And if that doesn’t qualify as a reason to go and view these extraordinary structures, then I don’t know what is.

The eighth position on this list is taken by Machu Picchu, the ancient Incan citadel high in the mountains 80km northwest of Cuzco. This place has caused wonder and fascination to people for well over 100 years now, it has been visited by so many people that alternative routes up to this world heritage site have had to be created to protect it from erosion. This site is like the pyramids in the sense it shows a race of people who are now extinct, leaving behind only these buildings and chocolate.

The final place on this list goes to somewhere, in comparison to the rest, quite mundane. The ninth place goes to London, I’m from Manchester, and I have never seen any other part of the UK than Manchester. So even though in comparison to the rest of the places on this list, London is pretty basic, I feel like before my time comes I have to at least see my own capital.

And there you have it everyone, Norwich Airport parking and Care Free Parking’s very own bucket list, I hope some of these places inspire you and who knows maybe even decide your next holiday, and if it does don’t forget to book your airport parking with the provider of the cheapest airport parking in the UK. I mentioned the Orlando shootings earlier in this article and I’d just like to use the last sentence to share my condolences and prayers to the victims of this awful act, and hope that this doesn’t inspire hate, but inspires a drive to keep going so that the world may never suffer an atrocity like this again.
