??When you think of the most photographed thing at a wedding, you usually think of the bride walking down the aisle an adorable flower girl, the couple's first dance, or maybe an elderly relative breaking it down on the dance floor.

??However, at the wedding of Lauren Webb and Michael Antwi III, it was the cake that was one of the most coveted photo subjects of the wedding — especially coveted by the comic book nerds in attendance.

??One half of the design was an elegantly decorated cake complete with subtly-drawn flowers draped across it. The other half was superhero-themed, depicting Batman, Captain America, Spider-Man, and Iron Main. The cake topper maintained the superhero theme with Batman replacing the groom in the traditional bride-groom scenario.

??All makes sense if you know the history of Webb and Antwi.

??Thomas "Dean" Cambria and Carlotta Theall celebrated their nuptials in East Rutherford in December, and in Aruba in January.

??"We have the same interests, comic books, travel, and adventure," said Webb, a 36-year-old school psychologist.

??The couple met about five or six years ago — they both say they are terrible with dates — on the website Plenty of Fish.

??They are so bad with dates, in fact, that they "just randomly picked a "dating anniversary" early in the relationship....April 15," said Webb.

??"I have no idea what made us say tax day. I tried to change it, but Michael was set on it."

??Antwi, ended up being the first person Webb ever spoke with through the dating site. The two communicated online for about three months. Then they had their first phone call.

??"I basically knew I was going to marry him on our first phone conversation," said Webb.

??THE WEDDING DATE:

??Once they began dating, Webb found numerous qualities in Antwi that convinced her that he was the one for her.

??"Besides the fact Michael 6'5" (Webb herself is 5'10") with a perfectly smile, being with him is easy," said Webb. "We share the same values when we talk about family and our future."

??In 2014, Antwi approached Webb's parents to ask for hand in marriage. Once they approved, Antwi set in motion his plan for proposal — the Saturday after Thanksgiving in 2014.

??Webb was setting up their house for Christmas, and Antwi unexpectedly started to play one their favorite songs, "Wedding Song" by Jamie Foxx. To Webb's surprise, he bent down on one knee and popped the question.

??A shocked Webb was speechless, but was finally able to say "Yes!"

??The couple chose April 30, 2016 as their wedding date for what Webb called "not the most romantic reasons."

??The date would not conflict with Webb's impending graduation from her doctorate program, and it was in the brief window of when Antwi's parents — who live in Ghana nine months out of the year — would be around.

??THE VENUE:

??The couple decided up The Merion in Cinnaminson as the venue for their reception. However, the bride wasn't actually involved in picking the venue.

??"Michael and my father picked the venue," said Webb. "When he toured it, Michael fell in love with it, and he really encouraged my parents to come see it. Well, my father hands down loved it."

??"We live an hour away and I have a very stressful schedule, but I was worry free with the Merion," said Webb.

??Webb admits that the couple did not thinking about saving when it came to the wedding planning, nor does she really think it's possible for one to save when having a wedding.

??WHERE THEY SPLURGED:

??The couple splurged on the aforementioned wedding cake, as well as videographer they hired just five days before the actual wedding.

??HOW THEY MADE THEIR WEDDING SPECIAL

??"We added soft touches of superhero accents," said Webb. "Cufflinks for the groomsmen, props in the photo booth, and a Batman ice sculpture."

??MOST MEMORABLE MOMENTS:

??The reception was highlighted by two big moments: The first being the reveal of the couple's cake.

??The second came during the couple's first dance.

??"Michael and I did a surprise dance that transitioned from Etta James to Michael Jackson," said Webb. "Everyone loved it, and it set the tone for a fun night."
