Along with those wonderful senior proms, your summer at home, and all those familiarities that surround you.

With every new journey one embarks on there is going to be something that one loses. While this time is beautiful and exciting at one part, it is also bitter with a lot of farewells. Because the first night of your college days you will sit at your dorm room and pause to think about all the new and old that is slipping away while a complete stranger sits across the room either thinking the same or planning their first frat party outfit.

All those college readiness surveys you took and all those nonsensical questions that you found senseless will start to make sense to you suddenly as you will realise that they trying to prepare you for college right. This journey of becoming a stranger to everything you know and become friends with everything you were about to be.

And these rollercoaster rides of emotions will keep hitting you back and forth in your journey back home and back to your college. So, our advice to you is to practice ‘carpe diem’. Do not just try to make the most out of your senior year or whatever is left of it. Instead try and seize everyday of it before you head on to join what will be the rest of your life. Because soon you will change from who you are to who were, and will start your transformation and who you become will determine the rest of your future. So, make sure it is not too late.
