A good nice shiny skin is what every girl want for. No offense in saying, maintain the dry skin is the most tedious task to do. If you have dry skin, your skin needs so much of care and special treatment, more than any other skin type. Here are some tips on how to protect the dry skin and how to make it look flawless.

Hydrate

Hydrating yourself is absolutely essential to keep your skin healthy. The humidity in the weather has risen up and a lot of water content from the body is lost when you sweat. And anyhow, you sweat so much in this season. So increase the water content in your diet. Drink lots of water, juices, refreshing drinks that will fulfill the water requirement of your skin.

Exfoliate

Very important to remove the dead skin, so that your skin is able to breathe. Exfoliate atleast thrice a week. This will help remove your dead skin, and increase your blood circulation. You can go for exfoliating natural creams, or packs. Oatmeal, honey, lemon, curd, cucumber can do wonders to your skin. Take some fine granules of sugar on to a lemon peel, and rub it on the hard areas, this will not only exfoliate the area, but also remove tan, and make your skin more bright.

Balanced Diet

Eat the right food to nourish your skin. Eating healthy balanced diet is ofcourse a very important element to maintain the flawless skin. Your skin glows from inside, It's a natural process. What you eat will reflect on to your skin. Avoid junk food this season. It a very unhealthy habit to eat street food outside in the monsoon. Avoid too much oily or fried food. Include salads, oats, lots of fiber content in your diet. Avoid boiling or steaming vegetable for too long, as it will reduce their water content. And don't forget, pulses are a great source of nutrient. So start having more of it.

Moisturize

Apply non greasy moisturizer onto your skin after taking a shower. Also remember to use glycerin based soaps and body shampoo, it helps in retain the moisture of the skin. Always apply a moisturizer before applying a sunscreen. And must remember that even the weather has changed but the sun is still there, so never step out in the sun without applying a sunscreen.

Fans over AC

Air conditions soak up skin's natural oils and moisture content in your body, thereby causing dryness. The weather has changed and its bit cooled down, so try using fan most of the time. Keep the ac at moderate level, or switch it off at intervals.

Sleep well

In this busy world, we don't get the time to sleep for long. But for a healthy skin getting a fine sound sleep is very important. For that leave away the stress before going to bed. Try to get as much relaxed as you can and go to bed. At least 7 to 8 hours of sleep is needed for an active mind and glowing skin. Occasional visits to the spa and swimming pool will relax your muscles.

Get rid of makeup before you sleep

Make up is an inseparable part of any modern woman’s beauty regime and it is the best way to enhance radiance and attractiveness of skin and provide a gorgeous and appealing look during parties and events but it is often loaded with harsh chemicals that not only harm the skin, but also attract dirt and clogs the skin pores causing pimples and acne. Never go to bed with the makeup on your skin. Always remove the makeup thoroughly with a good quality makeup remover, and wash your face legs and hands and moisturize them before going to bed
