Most women and even some men are not strangers to makeup. Some have more skills and knowledge how to use it properly than others, though. It does not matter, however, how proficient you are with your makeup, you probably need to cheat once in awhile. Here are some multifunctional products which can help you with it!

1. Mascara As Eyeliner

Run out of your favorite eyeliner? Grab your mascara! Make sure it is waterproof, though; otherwise, you might end up with black streaks all over your face as soon as you either start sweating or get into the rain. Some prefer to use black eyeshadow for their winged liner, but mascara is much more durable and is not likely to smudge as easily.

2. Concealer As Eyeshadow Primer

You need to prime your lids before applying eyeshadow if you want your eye makeup to stay put and look vibrant. However, you can substitute this particular product with your concealer. Dab a little bit of it on your eyelids and set with powder before proceeding. It will cancel out the natural color of your eyelids giving you a clean, blank canvas to work with. The silky texture of the powder will help you to blend the colors smoothly.

3. Eyeshadow As Contour And Highlighter

If you don’t have a full-on contouring palette, and you would like to try it out, pick up a couple of eyeshadows and go to town on your face! Make sure to stay away from warm brown shades and lean towards slightly grayish ones. Do not use straight up gray, though. It will make you look dirty and sallow instead. Your goal is to find a product, which is slightly darker than your skin and can create an illusion of a shadow in the hollows of your cheeks. You also can pick up a nice shimmery one and use it as a highlighter on top of your cheekbones and underneath your brows.

4. Lipstick As Blush

This trick has not been a secret for awhile now. For decades women and men alike used pink and red colored lipstick to give some glow as well as a tint to their cheeks. To get rosy complexion, dab a little bit of the product on the area and make sure to blend thoroughly. You don’t want it to look patchy and blotchy.

Try out these tips to get your makeup as flawless as ever without splurging on unnecessary products! This way you can always save some cash for your visit to the best salon in NYC!
