Reading facts

Who wouldn't love the smell of newly bought books in the bookstore? Shopping for cheap book thrills in book sales that cost twice even before prices mark down. Who doesn't love reading?
One of the few things I love about reading is that possible story plots open you up to a wider range of emotions and feelings that helps you be more assertive in the many events and possible turnarounds of your life. Amazing, huh?
Many people read just to let time pass by, or just for gaining new knowledge or for academic purposes. But for me, reading works not just for these purposes but for you to rest and unwind from what's happening at the moment, to see something on a different perspective. Reading can bring you to a whole other world and let you experience the many delights of life, whether it be romance, horror, suspense, action, or sadness.
What interests me more about reading is that, reading can connect you to others by just your common likes and thoughts about a certain book or material you both read or encountered. It brings people closer together by just a common interest, and at the same time, you learn new things from someone, even just a stranger.
Here are some pretty interesting facts I found from reading, about reading. (excerpt from https://www.feelgoodcontacts.com/blog/how-the-world-reads)
