Cloud computing is the term stating so far. It is a metaphorical term of internet based computing that relies on sharing computing resources instead of having local servers or personal devices to handle applications. Cloud computing is compared to a type of computing which is the grid computing where unused processing cycles of all computers in a network are harnesses to solve problems.

Cloud computing is used for bringing infrastructure, services, and software based on the demand that offers attractive advantages to the public sector. As an example, it has the potential to reduce immensely the information and communications technology (ICT) costs by virtualizing capital assets like disk storage and processing cycles into a readily available and affordable operating expense.
