Basically it is the holidaying season and everyone right from a kid to the oldies are in a party mood. Christmas brings along with it parties, celebrations and gifts. So, in some way this season brings a bit of confusion about party arrangements, party themes, menu and all. Frankly speaking, if the party is planned way ahead of the day, everything flows in very well and you pull off the party smoothly without any hassles or panic. Here are a few tips that would help out in deciding party themes, games and menu for kids, teens and friends.

PARTY IDEAS FOR KIDS – Now, arranging parties for kids is a bit of a task. A task because these days kids get bored of stuff very easily, hence keeping them engaged requires engaging games and themes.

Jungle theme – One of the most fun themes for kids are the wild life theme. Transform your party space into a jungle and keep the dress code as animal prints or alternatively you can hand over animal masks to the kids or skirts made out of leaves as y well as red-Indian masks or crowns to give it an authentic touch. You can even have the table arrangement that suits the theme. Eating plates made of wood, glasses and stuff or serving on banana leaves would make the setup more interesting for kids.

Pajama Theme – This is another fun theme. It could be a breakfast party. Ask the kids to come up for a breakfast treat in their pj’s and slippers. Have a breakfast menu which includes pancakes, hot cocoa, etc.

Superhero Theme – This could be another interesting theme because most of the kids are fond of super heroes and girls. Ask each one to dress up like their favorite superhero or alternatively you could have super hero and super girl masks.

Party Menu – It’s always nice to have a party menu that is relevant to the theme of the party. It’s like value addition. For example if your theme is jungle, then have a menu which includes fruit salads, animal shaped cakes like reindeer shaped cakes and decorations like peanut reindeers ornaments, etc. Make animal shapes cookies. This stuff would be alluring for the kids and they would eat properly too.

Party Games – If games also match the theme of the party it’s great but incase this is not possible you could have other interesting games also. Games like treasure hunt, passing the parcel, dumb charades, musical chairs, lemon n spoon race or gift wrapping contest, are a few interesting games which kids really love to play. Also, keeping prizes for winners would only add up to the zing.

PARTY IDEAS FOR TEENS – When it is about teen parties it requires a bit more hard work because teens know what they want, so if they don’t get what they want, it’s going to take the fun away from the party.

At Home – If you are holding a Christmas party ideas at home then the theme could be a simple one like Halloween. Do a little bit of decoration to match the theme with jacko lanterns, etc. Match your serving plates and menu also with the theme.

At the Club – Teens would undoubtedly love it if the party is arranged at the club. Almost all the teens love to dance. Hence what better place could you think of then the club itself. There would be music, dance, food and fun. All that teens just love.

At the skating rink – This place is also a happening place to arrange a Christmas party for teens. The reason is there is a huge open space for dancing and other activities. You need to decorate the rink as per the theme you have decided.

Must Have – As mentioned earlier teens love dance and music so hiring a DJ is a must. Have a lot of open space for dance and other activities as well.

Menu – Teens are fond of chips and junk food. So, don’t forget to add chips, French fries, tacos, nachos, burgers, hot dogs, tortillas, Mexican wraps, etc, to your party menu. Keep a few salads also, though there would be a very few who would be interested in them J. Also, beverages is a must. Do not serve alcohol but mocktails and beverages is a great idea. You could have a small bar where these mocktails could be served.

Games – There could be dance performances, musical instrument playing, singing, group/ band singing and like activities. This would be fun and you could also keep participation prizes and prizes for winners also.

Hosting a Christmas party for kids and teens is a task but could be managed if well planned considering the choices of your kids and their friends and undoubtedly you would end up throwing a party that would be cherished for a long time.
