In Manila, the best conditioner reviews are those that include commentary to the natural ingredients used on the product. This is important because the number of modern women preferring to use natural products to clean their hair is on the rise.

The "No Poo" or no shampoo movement has started because of them. They are foregoing using shampoo on their hair and are using other ways to clean it. Here are some of the most recommended alternatives to shampoo.

Rye Flour

The use of rye flour to clean one’s hair is becoming popular to those that follow the No Poo method. Women particularly prefer it because it has the perfect mixture of exfoliating properties and saponins. This means that it has the ability to clean your hair without being harsh on it. Check out this video to learn how to properly apply rye flour on your tresses.

Tea Tree Oil

Men and women, who have scalp issues like dandruff, can now rest easy. Tea tree oil just might be the thing they need to get rid of their problem. This shampoo alternative is full of wonderful properties that are good for your hair. Simply mix it together with water and bicarb paste (baking soda paste) and apply it to your scalp to get rid of the problem.

Ghassoul Clay

Ghassoul or rhassoul clay is incredibly good for your mane for it not only works as a shampoo but also as a conditioner. Create a paste by combining boiling water with two spoonfuls of clay. Smooth it over your hair then leaving it for a couple minutes. Afterwards, brush your locks thoroughly and then rinse it all off.

Soapberries

Soapberries also known as soapnuts is another alternative you can use to replace your shampoo. They work pretty well because they are considered to be natural cleaners. All you have to do is boil them in water for 10 minutes and then use a blender to get out their liquid that you would use on your tresses.

Baking Soda

Baking soda is a pretty useful alternative to make sure your hair becomes squeaky clean. However, using it pretty often can damage it–making it waxy and brittle. What you can do to make sure this doesn’t happen is to put only one teaspoon of baking soda into 1 cup of water. Be sure that it has been completely dissolved before applying it on your hair. Remember to do this every ten days so it will not harm your mane.

Rum

Rum has a really strong alcohol content that is good if you have oily hair. It is not however advisable to use this alternative if you plan to wash your locks regularly. Limit the washing at least once a week if you are going to use rum on your hair. Also, it may not be the best alternative if you already have dry hair for it may become even dryer.

Join the No Poo movement and get rid of the harsh chemicals you put on your hair. Try all the methods mentioned above and see which one works well for your hair type.
